Hello

I know the Sun Holiday offer was posted on here recently but thought I would start a seperate thread as I have just found this on HUKD and seems to be different from the previous Sun holidays where you had to collect codes etc...

HUKD post thanks to Sim - their post below:

This may already be known (I can't find anything searching), the Sun Holidays booking site seems to be available to everyone now, without any codes.

Taken from the Website -

Great Family Holidays From £9.50 Per Person!
To check out availability and book your break, simply click on 'Book Now'.

Click on an area to check out the facilities at each park and for full details of any Service Charge or Entertainment/Clubroom pass charges that may apply.

We're sure you will find your ideal break, and hope you'll soon be enjoying a fabulous Holiday from £9.50!

Dates available in April, May, June, July, September, October and November.

Hope this will help someone.

A reply to the OP on HUKD states that they have found plenty of availabilty for the Easter Holidays - does not say which parks etc though - but may be worth a try if you are looking for an Easter break.

Please read terms and conditions as there may be other charges payable such as entertainment and service charges.

I've never done one of these before. When do you have to pay for the extra bits (entertainment passes etc?). Also if we go half board does that have to be the whole party? Don't want to pay half board for my 3 month old as he won't be eating anything! If we have to pay an extra £40 for him as well it's probably not worth it!

  • Has anyone booked this? Do you get a confirmation email straight away?

I've just completed the booking screen with contact details, names & ages etc.

Also completed the payment screen but then it took me to a timed out screen.

I have received the following email confirming payment but no holiday confirmation!

    "CONFIRMATION OF HOLIDAY PAYMENT ONLY.

This is to confirm that payment for your holiday booking has been made successfully.

THIS IS NOT CONFIRMATION OF YOUR HOLIDAY BOOKING. You will receive a separate e-mail confirming your holiday booking details.

    Thank you for your payment.

Your payment is securely processed by RBSWorldPay."

i booked earlier in the year with the daily mail offer (going in easter hols), an invoice came through a couple of weeks later for the extras (linen, electricity, passes) i didn't have to pay for an entertainment pass for my 3 year old so you definately won't have to pay for your baby. I had to pay for the extras direct with the holiday park and they were quite helpful.

You do have to pay the £9.50 for babies, because all people should be named on the form for fire regulations or whatever. You have to pay for a minimum of 4 people too, so if there's only a couple and baby you will pay for 4 people.

Is it butlins? my sister took an under-2 last year and didn't have to pay for his food.

I've booked for the Easter week in Cornwall. I've never been to a Haven Park before! The children are very excited as we haven't been away for a while. What extra costs can I expect from Haven?
    TIA

Thank you very much for this. I have booked four nights at Butlins in Skegness. I took the kids a couple of years ago and they loved it.

If you select the holiday park you are staying at HERE and then scroll to the bottom of the page of your selected park and it gives you details, there is a red headed section which says
    Service Charge Information
Service Charge £6.50 per unit per night
    Entertainment Plus passes £4.50 per person per £9.50 break - £8.95 per person per £15 break - Under 5s FREE - Passes FREE on breaks starting 22, 29 March, 19, 26 April, 3 May, 4, 11, 18 October.

above is just an example as the charges can differ per park and they are payable directly with the park.
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.
