newgirly said:WOW that is AMAZING well done losing so much, you must wear that little black dress even if it’s at home to celebrate 😁debtfreeoneday said:Thought I’d pop in and say hi. Well done on the loss. What are you doing? Anything specific?
I'm eating lots of protein and veg, not much bread (like less than 1 slice/ week) but am eating rice, couscous and new potatoes/ sweet potatoes. Very few sweet treats compared to everyday that I was eating them before (but am eating protein yogurts & fruit) and am exercising (although have been rubbish this week) - sadly I find that exercise makes a real difference (I'm not a fan!)
My plan for Dec is not to put any on (and ideally lose3lb to get me down into the next stone bracket (but I'd take that as a success if I managed it for first week in Jan)) I am, however, celebrating DD's bday next week with pati55erie valerie cake, 3 course lunch out at Mil3r & Cart3r (her choice - I don't eat steak, so wouldn't choose there myself) and not limiting myself that day. Will probably also have a slice of cake the following day. And then there's Xmas Eve, Xmas day, Boxing Day and NYE takeaway. I don't really drink much the rest of the year, but Dec is when I do consume a couple of Baileys and maybe half a bottle of prosecco. And cheese.... lots of Xmas cheese and pate....I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -
Suffolk_lass said:Ooh yes, well done on the weight loss. I wish I could say the same (too much sweet stuff here!). I will go again after Christmas
- which means I should get back to exercising... sigh....
DS1's first c0vid test has come back negative and he has his second booked for Monday - provisional plans made to collect him Tues last afternoon/ early evening. He is under orders to eat all his fresh and frozen foods in the meantime and then move remaining dry goods to his room(I wouldn't trust his housemates not to eat anything left after previous experiences with them - there are no boundaries in their house, it seems) As he only leaves the house maybe once a week to top up his food supplies and only leaves his room in the house to go to the kitchen or bathroom he *should* be ok.
And the robovac arrives tomorrow!! - whoop! - Dee Aitch Ell texted me to say it was delayed (due today) and will arrive tomorrow - looking forward to playing with it giving it a good try out!
Flebay listings are at £1 FVF this weekend - so will aim to get the last few items (for this year, anyway!) listed over the weekend
Did manage to get 2 full bin liners of stuff dropped off at CS today - have some more for tomorrow....I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -
2 more bags of things dropped of at the CS again today - and I still have more to take!
Lots of online/ pre-lockdown purchases (well, 6) returned yesterday/ today. Have a big bag of presents for my mum to deal with (things for the kids/ DH that I bought and she'll pay for but she will take home and wrap) My present wrapping is almost half way done (excluding stocking presents - haven't started on those, as I need to make sure people have the same number of items!)
Oooh - the robo vac arrived yesterday - have had it vacuuming the kitchen and hall so far. Haven't tried the mop function yet. Will put it properly through its paces this week

I’m the same with stockings even though the kids genuinely don’t mind. They have to have the same number.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Yeah - I think mine wouldn't massively notice a difference in number unless one of them had more chocolate in there than the others!
I think I will have it as a job for tomorrow to have a proper sort out of them and what is still left to get ro complete them
(DS1 is coming back from uni today, so this morning is dusting and vacuuming his room, making the bed up (couldnt do it yesterday as planned, as I managed to throw a cup of tea over the sheet...) and making sure that the boys' bathroom hasn't been left in too grim a state by DS2....

Set that robovac to work in ds1's room and watch the magic!

lol - I did, apple
Although I also took the cordless stick Dys0n up there, too - and vacuumed the cobwebs from the ceiling (oops) and the skirting boards with it
I also let him (Robovac is a 'him' in this house
) loose in DS3's room. DS2's room has waaaay too much loose Leg0 on the floor to do that.... Then he did the living room/ hall/ dining room and kitchen again - took him an hour. I love the little map I get to see on my phone of where he's been/ where he is
I got DD to re-do the kitchen inc all the awkward crevices after lunch and I mopped it (and the hallway) twice - once to clean and once with some Kardeeeen stuff which makes it look shiny
(I use it about once a year!) I shall try Robbie's mopping skills out later this week, no doubt
- apparently the mop function is ok, but does not replace a proper mopping - but I figure if Robbie does it 2 or 3x / week that's more than I do normally, so anything's an improvement!
DH has gone to collect DS1 from his uni - they should hopefully be back by 6.30pm (traffic allowing) - he had 2 negative c0vid tests, so is clear to come home and not isolate in his roomDS3 is very excited about it!!
Nothing spent today - I did get rid of 2 boxes of things to my mum, though - she drove here after going to the dentist (about 0.5miles away) and we exchanged boxes on the driveway and then she went. One box was cards & presents for my aunt/ cousins/ cousins kids - my mum will meet her (aunt - ie: my mum's sister) for a dog walk on the Common next week. The other box was stuff for my house from my mum - I'm glad to get rid of it from here. as it makes it easier to see what I have/n't gotMain drop of things left then is to my sister and my nephew (inc a huge pile of non-Xmas stuff for him, as have had a clear out of craft things) - hopefully she is going to her mum's for Xmas, which is closer to here than her house, so I shall do a doorstep drop off closer to the time when I know what's happening for sure
I haven't written any cards for posting yet, though... must sort that soon!

Loving the idea of Robbie doing the mopping. And if he mops more often than you do, what is there to complain about if he can't get into corners? At least he is doing it!What I do not give, you must never take by force.
