    I kind of expect if TC ever give us anything that they'll ask for it back a year or so later, tbh! :D And, yes, FF has come along nicely :j - suspect it will slow down a bit now - have next term's rent to pay for DS1 and need to also top up his and DD's c/acs with some day-to-day living money, I guess :) - although DD won't need much until Sept, to be fair.

    So.... the first 1/4 of the year has already passed!! :eek: Can't figure out exactly how much we reduced BTL by as the monthly interest isn't yet showing, as LDM was a Sunday (so I have to wait until tomorrow to complete the spreadsheet - it's always a few pence or so out from a timing issue - my s/sheet assumes all payments in are LDM, whereas they are random and throughout the month (and I really can't be bothered to add extra to my spreadsheet to make it more accurate when I can override the figure the following month! :D))

    Anyway.... April brings:

    * DS1's bday
    * 2 weeks of Easter hols for DS2 & DS3
    * 3 weeks of Easter hols for DD & DS1 (overlap with smaller 2 for a week)
    * 5 days at work (not full days)
    * 2 Bank Holidays :j:

    House related plans for the month are to clean and tidy the caravan and put it up for sale (funds will go to Florida fund) and paint more fence and hopefully a couple of small DIY jobs inside the house. More decluttering (there's honestly not too much stuff left now, I think.......) and get personal tax stuff ready to take to accountant.

    We're transferring the business stuff to Xer0 software, so that's a job for me this month - all I've done so far is input y/e balances (so as at 31st Jan) and import the bank transactions from then. :) Should mean less paperwork going forward, which has to be a good thing :) :T

    Sounding very good :) and I do like the sound of less paperwork - music to my ears, in fact :)

    Hi greent. I continue to be impressed and inspired by your consistent focus! Well done on completing tax returns really early, saving hard toward FF and most importantly, stepping in to sort your grans affairs. You’ll deserve your holiday in Florida when it comes about!!

    Thanks, SG :)

    Court of Protection have acknowledged the application and the next stage is serving notice on other people, including my Nan herself - that's a job for this week, then! I don't *think* they've raised any queries, though - so that's a :j:

    It's only the 7th of the month and I can already see it's going to be a tight one...… Have had to pay for DS3 swimming lessons & DS2 shooting club for next term (DS2 also attends a weekend club, but that's PAYG and literally a couple of £ / week) DS2 is also starting trombone lessons next term, so I'll still have those to pay for.... And it's DS1's bday this month.... And OH needs a full set of new tyres (c £600) and both of our car insurance is due 1st May (my renewal quote is £1130!:eek::eek::eek: - I have a 9yo VW and do c 5000 miles/ year - but do have 2 student children on my insurance!) - need to do some price comparisons! And it's the Easter hols - smaller 2 off for 2 weeks and students for 3 (they overlap for a week in the middle) Am hoping for some nice weather so we can do some free/ cheap things outside - good for us and my purse :D We also spent more than expected yesterday - grocery shopping at 2 smkts where we found one thing we buy a lot of on a v good offer in the one - so bought 13 - and laundry tablets RTC in the other (redesigning packaging and putting less in a box means they are selling off the old stock at silly prices - grabbed a pile for the students!) and we also went to an office/ stationery outlet which is closing down today - picked up heaps & heaps of cleaning products at really silly prices, 72 (good) toilet rolls for £13, free sturdy DHL boxes (unused) - and a couple of half price stationery items (which the business account paid for). Oh - and a new set of RU rainbow drawers for £30 (we were originally off to elsewhere to buy the same set for £38, so am happy with that) Garage shelves are looker quite full! :rotfl:

    Have paid off the rental money to BTL. Any other funds are still going to F-Fund - I've had a payrise for invigilating (19%!!!), so the increased SUmmer hours are going to be at a much better rate :T -all of which will be going to the holfund :)

    Sounds like all systems go with you GreenT. You are an inspiration in remaining so focused through it all. Your bargain purchases all sound great. Good luck selling the caravan. It will be nice to boost your Florida fund with the proceeds. Enjoy the Easter holidays with your family x

    You sound so busy and yet have everything in hand. I am in awe! That car insurance really is :eek: - have you seen Martin's graph of the best time to do a comparison? I think it was 21 days before the renewal date gave the lowest prices. Hope you can get it down a bit.
