More packing up of kitchen stuff today - and more stuff binned/ recycled/ put to one side to donate/ pass on. Will leave the fleabaying of anything until after kitchen - it's all fragile and my stock of bubblewrap etc has been used wrapping up kitchen stuff. Annoyingly (:D) I've sold 3 items on flebay this week which have also needed packaging - cue a dash into Tesc0 f&v aisle to grab as much bubblewrap from fruit boxes as I could without disturbing stock (thankfully there was a small pile in a box, put there by staff) Will need to go again as I still need more....

Went to BTL today (to out recycling out for collection tomorrow) - discovered a damaged patch of flooring in the kitchen which they'd then tried to hide with a non matching sticky tile! - wish they'd told me. I have said that I will be keeping some of the deposit back to cover this. Have also decided to pay someone to redecorate - we just haven't got the time - we need to spend it on our kitchen prep. We'll strip wallpaper and wash down and treat mould this weekend in the rental and then I'll get someone in to redo walls and ceilings. Will also get the place properly cleaned after and keep the cost of it back from the deposit - the fridge and freezer are both filthy inside, the kitchen cupboard shelves are sticky and crumb infested, the kitchen and bathroom sinks are both dire - simple stuff which the tenants should have done, and I'm disappointed that they haven't. I could understand not cleaning windows, but the freezer and fridge.... meh!!

That reads as quite grumpy- which I don't feel. I'm more interested in my house than the BTL, so it's just easier to pay someone this time and offset the cost.

Moving on, we have now eaten most of the Xmas stuff (the DC still have some choc, but that'll go eventually) - except cheese - we have loads of it - including sticky toffee cheese ?!?! Yesterday's lunch was an omelette with a mix of smoked cheese, garlic & herb cheddar and cheddar with chilli (only a tad, as that stuff is well peppy!!) Today's jacket spud with coleslaw had more garlic cheese crumbled over it. Once it's gone/ significantly reduced, I'll feel more able to be make 'better' food choices - I hate the idea of waste! No idea what I'm going to do with the toffee cheese, though! :D:D
