Sorry to hear you've got the flu, greent, we'll see you when we see you. Take care of yourself. Or rather, get OH/your oldest to take care of you.

hope you feel better soon....goodness there are some poorly folk on this forum at the moment.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thank you, everyone xx.:kisses3: - air kisses only, as I don't want anyone getting this!

Day 4 and I'm still in PJs (clean ones! :D) - have never had a PJ day in my life!! The only times I've worn PJs in the day before have all been hospital related - C-section, quinsy and hysterectomy. I tried to get a GP apt today because my breathing is - frankly- rubbish - approx. 30x/ minute and not satisfying. No go - told to phone back tomorrow (without enquiring what I wanted one for) It's also slightly painful now, but I don't know whether that's infection related or the fact everything is all tight and tense. I think I'm probably ok, but I would like someone to confirm - I can honestly say that I have never been this ill at home before. OH also has a lurgy - but to a lesser extent, thankfully. I will try for an apt in the morning (I feel guilty as I know the surgery is very busy) but I'm just getting worse each day so far and can no longer lie down, as the pressure in my lungs from the gunk in there (that's what it feels like anyway!) is crushing and I really then struggle to breathe - the couple of times I've tried it I ended up in a panic attack - which when you're already struggling to breathe is no fun!! This is the first time in a couple of days I've used my laptop and I've watchced maybe 2 or 3 tv programmes - I've just been sitting/ lying (when I could) and sleeping lots - which HAS to be good for me, right?

OH is not going away for work this week - I could not cope. Minimal stuff is being done (got the uniforms washed) and I've had DS2 (12) on things like loading and unloading dishwasher, DS3 loading washing machine etc. I cannot believe the speed and intensity with which this has struck. DS1 has been a star, although he also needs to be doing lots of revision. When I am better they need something fun done with them to make up for a miserable, boring weekend

You do sound poorly, hope you can get a gp appointment. You’re as deserving as the next person, do put yourself first whilst feeling so unwell.

You are well poorly, greent. Get down to the dr tomorrow, please - it is pretty urgent if you can't lie down or breathe well. Mention urgent as soon as you call them and don't be fobbed off - if it was one of your children you would be adamant about being given an appt x

Good lord, greent, that sounds terrible :( panic attacks, and not being able to breathe sounds utterly awful :( it sounds like the lads are stepping up, with OH there too as well, of course.

Lots of positive vibes and (very gentle) hugs are being sent your way.
