Thanks apple & Elephant!
Argh! - normally the 2 schools I invigilate for don't ask me to work at the same time - obviously the Summer exam period is the same, but the one school has always been weeks ahead in the organisation stakes compared to the other, so I've always had one timetable beforehand to know my availability for the other. The one school emailed for availability last week so I gave them free rein for the whole period - and the school 2 emailed today for the Summer period, wanting definite availability by Mon. I won't have that as we are working on Y13 Mocks this week, so the Exams officer won't have a chance until next week at the earliest. I've had to decline school 2 for the whole of the Summer at the mo

Haha! All MFWers would be welcome to visit for cake anytime! (although I may need notice as - apart from my (large) weekly slice in the post - I am trying to avoid cake at the mo
)
Not much going on here, really. Smallest 2 are off with an inset day today (their school always has them at random times - never tagged on to a half term or anythingDS1's save them up and they break up school early) Plodding away with decluttering - am managing to work my way through some of the unread books in the bookcase with OH being away. I like reading - always have - but OH is almost a non-reader, unless it's a newspaper - and he constantly has the tv on for background noise. All the books are being passed on to my mum, too, so more stuff leaving here
Loving that Spring is well and truly here - the warmer, brighter, longer days - fantastic! So much birdsong to be heard (particularly as we live alongside the canal path with fields the other side) and beautiful Spring bulbs in bloom in gardens
Money wise... am waiting until start of new tax year to pay some off the BTL - have the money ready. Also need the ground rent bill to come in for the BTL (large communal gardens) - accidentally missed the AGM last monthso have no idea of the amount as no report received yet -am hoping it will be no more than £200
Have to stay in today with the small 2 - OH is expecting 2 parcels and delivery time is 'any time'Really hoping they are earlier, rather than later - but if it's Yodel or DPD delivering they usually come from 2pm onwards here. Wonder if I can get the children interested in helping me in the garden instead.....?
At the very least I suspect I can get them out on bikes/ scooters (the advantage of living in a quiet cul de sac - they can happily zoom around reasonably safely in work hours - although some of the drivers are crazy at off-to-work/ home from work times, bearing in mind it *is* a cul de sac (and a curvy one) with no pavement after the initial turn in to it and lots of children - our neighbour seems to see it as a challenge to zoom in and see how late they can break as they pull onto their drive :eek
Anyway - suppose I should be productive now and go and do something.....I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Whoop! - just sold the bike trailer (a double, so a big one - can fit an 8yr old and 5yo in) - means the cost to us for 7 years of use was only £10!
(plus 2 inner tubes) - and lots of room gained in the garage!:T:T
