Bearing in mind I got there slightly early, help set up, weigh members and give advice and help clear up - and there was no benefit to doing so originally - now helpers get a free magazine (saving £1.95) every 6-8 weeks. ETA: - not meant to sound like a mona - I really enjoyed helping out
Anyway - aside from that - the big news is that Mr gt has a new contract :j:j starting next Weds (strange start date, but that's because the offer was made at 4.55pm today!) The downside is it's a Mon-Fri stay away - but as his last contract ended 31st Jan last year we're not going to complain too much
:D (but it does complicate life for me somewhat - end of my moan)

Hello! Congrats on the contract, hope the mid weeks don't get too complicated for you as a result. Good tip on using zeek to buy your sofas, I must remember that site, not used it before.
With the washing machine I would definitely call John Lewis and say it is clearly not fit for purpose (which breaks the trade descriptions act). If you google there are template letters for this. It comes down to a reasonable expectation of how long a product should last, and 4 breakdowns in 2 years is unreasonable and suggests a faulty product was sold. Your contract is with the vendor, not the manufacturer. HTH.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Congratulations on the contract! I can see what you mean about the length of time looking for one - life will change a bit, for a while I should imagine - have you got skype set up and all that?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Great news on the contract....do they pay his expenses whilst away? (Thinking of savings to the household budget :rotfl:)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
