Loving the long weekend DD is away with her boyfriend in their uni city, staying in a hotel. Yesterday DH and I went to Gloucester Goes Retro - a large collection of classic cars, bikes and vans/ trucks spread around the city - there were some absolute beauties there. Had a lovely lunch in a family run deli/ cafe, too - and then takeaway for dinner (some leftovers for dinner for 2 tonight, too - -bonus)

Today we've been to the (Royal) Forest of Dean to follow the sculpture trail there:  https://www.forestofdean-sculpture.org.uk/  We missed the last few off and will do them another time. There were lots of new ones since we last went - and the weather was fab - sunny but not too hot. 

Tomorrow we are going bowling   last hurrah before schools restart

Absolutely - fitting in a job, with all that you do, is amazing.  I want to say, "priorities" - erm, priorities matter when life is so full.  I hope your weekend isn't *equally* full.

Thank you both 😘 part of it is down to my sleep - going to bed at a decent time but then waking up c 3am and not getting back off for 90 mins or so I am sure this will get better! It's a crazy time as my boss has a new job at the school so has a learning curve herself and very little time with the start of term, covid testing, new students in y7 and y12 (and  a handful of others), me as a new person, appeals from the Summer exams and we also have the grammar entrance test day happening on Sat 11th Sept. I've been doing some training (mainly aimed at teachers but some of it is handy), helping out with the covid testing of students and prepping things for the entrance test and also organising staff for the y7 baseline tests - amd learning new systems! Then we had the end of year bash last night (postponed from July thanks to Covid) so that was the whole evening also spent at school - but it was fun and social - but I was so ready for my bed after! 😃

This morning DH and I have been to the local farmers market - bought a big steak pie, some onion bhaji, courgette pakora and breakfasted on freshly baked croissant (me) and pain at choc (DH). I've got a 'wobbly head' -dizziness and poor balance - often down to anaemia/ overtiredness/ low BP so am taking it easy with a cup of tea whilst he has gone to Tesco for some essential back to school.lunchbox shopping. I do need to make a curry for tonight, though - ideally I would have already made it but life got in the way! 😂

I roped DS1 in to majorly help with the curry and DH did 2 smkts (although I ended up putting most of the shopping away....) DD and DS2 emptied the dw and put any w-up away and took some of the laundry upstairs (2 loads done today - most of it is dry already as it has been lovely here) I have had a snooze and rehydrated myself  😀 DS2 needs to just finish re-making his bed (half remade) and we are done for today (other that getting remaining laundry in from the line)

Ironing and bread loaves and rolls making is on the agenda for tomorrow, along with making sure DS2 and DS3 are ready for back to school on Monday morning! Covid tests will be done all round - I have done several this week already as I have been testing students in school. I should also drop DS2 off at the CS for volunteering - I don't think I will manage to fit it in myself this week as today hasn't been that productive here, so I need to catch up.

Money wise - it is a tight Sept after a spendy August. Not helped by DH having several hundred pounds in expenses to claim.... I've already transferred over some money from savings- and we are only on the 4th!! But that's what the slush fund account is for . £25 won on the PB by both myself and DS2 this month  one day I might win a bigger prize! 😄🤞

I still recall the body shock of suddenly having to fit in another major commitment. I have just signed up to do a course and will miss the first of the Zoom lectures as we are out. I just hope I can catch up. You are fortunate to have so many to help. Keep delegating or you will wear yourself out!

Sorry to hear you're so exhausted. You sounds like you're doing well though, keep going. My teacher friends tell me that this is a more stressful time than normal through all of the covid measures. 

Hope it's not too tight this month but well done on the pb wins!
