    I know that when OH bought mine (and he had an idea what I liked but still chose my ring himself) he was extremely nervous, despite being fussed over by 3 women young enough to be his daughters and being plied with champagne as he handed over his credit card!

    Errr I'm still relatively new here...what's the protocol here...am more than happy to regale the story of the proposal but don't want to hijack this thread...should I start a new one for proposal stories??
