Quidco O2 offers- 24 hours only - any use for i-phhone?
Options
There are special offers with O2 throught Quidco for 24 hours only
http://www.quidco.com/o2/
However I don't think any of them are of any use for someone wanting a I-phone 18-24 month contract. Would appreciate if anyone else could confirm this..thanks

No discounts on iphones.
£200 for 12 month sim only contracts (£25 a month) - well if you had an iphone already in first place, you might want that if the sim only plan includes internet.
Interesting still - looks like some Easter offerings coming around the corner.0 -
Correction - if you look here http://www.quidco.com/savvy-tips/
It says
"O2 24hr special £200 cashback for ALL 12 month Simplicity SIM only £25+ tariffs! 1200 mins/unlimited texts from £8.33 after cashback! (saving you 67%!). Includes iPhone tariffs! Ends midnight tonight. Quidco exclusive."0 -
Thanks -sorry to sound dim, but it's still SIM only isn't it? I need a contract with the i-phone included, and I don't think any of the Quidco offers cover that?0

No they don't - you need to have iphone purchased or from a previous contract. I suspect the sim only deal will appeal to people in that position. Lots of mins and texts for a whole year paying £100 for 12 months I work that out to with £200 quidco.0 -
hi,
I'm contemplating getting one of the new htc desires due out at the the beginning of April. I can't get one on T-Mobile as they don't offer 3G reception where I live, so my only options are with o2:
Buy the phone sim free at ~£387 and put it on a SIM only contract from o2 with the:£120 cashback for ALL 12 month SIM Only £20 tariffs (including iPhone) From £10 after Quidco cashback for 900 mins / unlimited texts!
I'm new to all this cashback business so please excuse me.0 -

Does this mean I'd get actual cash back or one hundred and twenty pounds worth of talk time/texts?
I'm new to all this cashback business so please excuse me.
If I were reading that it would be
12 month tariff paying £20 a month giving you 900 minutes /unlimited texts.
Total spend over 12 months = £240
Minus £120 quidco
Overall then its £120 for 12 months, £10 a month
You have to make sure you pick the right tariff when signing up.0 -
You're even better off getting a £25/month SIM only contract with £200 cashback though.
Total spend over 12 months = £300
Minus £200 cashback
So, overall thats £100 for the year or £8.33/month with even more minutes0 -
got one for myself(12 month SIM-free 1200 minute).
will report when it is tracked(12 hours passed, still not tracked!)back to London;):beer:0 -
Mines not tracked yet either
However, it says in the small print
"The 12 month SIM Only offer will track into your account at £25 and be uplifted to the correct amount upon validation. All pay monthly contracts (phone, broadband (1 month/18 months), SIM Only (12 month/1 month) will be validated 2 months after activation date."0 -
I am really considering getting an iphone on O2 (already broadband customer)
Correct if I am wrong (new customer):
3G refurb = free
18 x £30 = £540
100min + unltd txt + unltd data
Total = £540
3Gs 16gb new = £179
18 x £30 = £540
100min + unltd txt + unltd data
Total = £719
3Gs 16gb new on PAYG = £449
simplicity 12 iphone 12x 20 = £240
600min + unltd txt + unltd data
Total = £689
via quidco
3Gs 16gb new on PAYG = £449 (no cashback)
simplicity 12 iphone 12x 20 = £240 (£100 cashback)
600min + unltd txt + unltd data
Total = £589
It is a non-brainer go the PAYG route or have I missed something?
I believe if I go the route of buying a PAYG + simplicity, I should contact O2 and ask them to port my Virgin number to O2 simplicty. Is this right? I would also need to change the PAYG SIM to the simplicity SIM after porting the number (saw on youtube and it does not seem difficult to change using a thumbtack or paperclip)
