    But hes my Granda:(:(

Why would anyone go into a caring profession if they dont care:mad: makes my blood boil it does. OHs Dad was completely neglected after he had a stroke at age 67, we had to fight for every bloody thing even the diagnoses a they kept insisting it was only a TIA (mini stroke) so he did not receive any speech therapy or other rehabilitation that he obviously needed as they thought he would wake up one day and would be OK.

    Never happened:(

This is so true - the way they treated my Mum was appalling (she was 81 when she died) but I won't go into all the details on here, because they are all too common and I am sure you would have heard about this kind of thing before (such as putting drinks and food at the end of the bed where she couldn't possibly reach them and leaving her in a soiled bed etc)

The nurses made my blood boil and inside I scream when people say 'oh they have so much to do and are so underpaid'. I know I can't generalise but the ones 'taking care' of my Mum spent most of their time sitting round the nurses station and glaring at you if you asked for some help.

I will stop now or this will turn into my longest post/rant ever!

One of my more distant relatives was in hospital recently, with one of his daughters in attendence. The standard of care there was very poor as well. She marched up to the desk and announced brightly "I'd like a complaints form please."

Suddenly the earth changed under her feet.

I hate the way old people are treated, my grandad had a horrible time, lazy thieving scum "looking after him" but that was in a care home.

Its been a funny old day really

    glad its friday

Kayleigh - I also had pizza! xxxx
