    Morning all,

2nd day of delurkdom...I must say I do feel a bit of an intruder, but I am sure that will pass, after a while. Don't feel able to comment much or support.

Off to visit family later today, yay! Need to do a couple of things on the bit of the thesis I am working on...you will here a lot about it.
Tidy up a bit, and get pizzas for Sunday night form Morrisons!

    See you later,

    Dot.

Morning! Tears all dried up. It was either a genuine mistake or they aren't worth getting upset over. Thank you for all the lovely messages. Part of the reason I took myself to bed was I didn't want to start wallowing as that is often the start of a crash in mood.

Today I shall be trying to declutter/put carp away, speaking German and getting ready for the weekend:D

Not much doing today, I have today and tomorrow off. I do want to clean my room though and de clutter it a bit. I also need to restart my comp entry's as that's been on the back burner for about 3weeks :( Otherwise its just chilling. Lil bro wants cakes but I don't think we have any flour :rotfl:

Oh a few positives, I learn't yesterday that the job I went for contacted my current employers only hours after my interview, I don't want to get my hopes up but its looking good :D The problem is its kinda 'out' in work that I am seeking other employment :o Ah well :rotfl: I also got a refund for £20 on my old blender, it started leaking liqud out the base a few days ago. Mum replaced it so I got a refund, best bit is I don't have to pay Mum back :T

Have a great day all :D

Just caught up on last night's chat and I'm sure you've come to the right conclusion here xx

Katsu - read about your troubles at work too, made me really angry - managers are supposed to help their staff develop, not tell them off because they don't act like carbon copies of themselves - shame there are so many managers about who are on a power trip or just no good at managing. You are so much better than that!

Pap - great news about them asking for a reference, that is definitely a good sign.

Pap, that does sound very positive. Don't worry about work knowing - it's simply a career choice, nothing personal, and any decent employer will understand that.

This seems to be a very good patch for DC career news, long may it continue!

My job just goes from bad to worse to be honest, but I enjoy the basic premise, and the people I work with are nice...and it's more than bearable for 16 hours a week! Just not sure how I will feel when the time comes to return full time. But that's not for at least a year.

Painkillers have kicked in...feeling snotty but the aching has stopped! :j

  • Aww, thanks guys...I'll just try and get a sense of everyone for a bit.

Pooky- The thesis, well its a bit contraversial in someways...the research is about men's experience of abortion, and I am at the moment, writing a literature review on men's experince of miscarriage. Normally seen as women's issues, but it does effect the guys too.

Hope everyone has a reasonable day, espcially those who are feeling a bit low emotinally / physically.

Can't wait to see my daddy later, and my step-mu, she is amazing.

I have been brave and sent a message to the hostess of the party. I think if I hadn't it would go round and round in my head...

"just wanted to say I was really hurt to find you'd had the girls over on Wednesday and I wasn't invited. If I don't say anything its going to eat away at me and that is usually the start of a crash.

I hope it was a mistake but if I have upset/offended you please tell me so I can apologise and make amends."

Hopefully it was the right thing to do...

Good morning - how exciting having more new people.
I have loaded the car. Am having GS2 for an hour and then it is off to Morrisons to shop for 50. Then off to the hut with the Brownies - back Sunday night.
Have a fab weekend all - I am looking forward to time away from family to collect my thoughts!

It certainly does affect them - some of the partners of the women at my PND group have struggled/are struggling to understand what PND means for the woman in their lives and are even possibly depressed themselves. I think it is easy to overlook them because they aren't in the front line so to speak...

I'm back for a second day too Dot, know what you mean but I'm sure we'll get to know everyone real soon!

Was supposed to be going on a course to be a CAB adviser today but they've had to postpone the course due to lack of numbers, so I am having a well deserved day off seeing as I was frying until gone 10pm last night!

Got to pay for DB's two school trips today, £400  be glad once its paid for though, coz then all the overtime is mine mwahahahaha :rotfl:

Good luck for later Luc, will be thinking of you later!!

    Happy Crunchie day :D

I think you sat with it a while, and worked out what you needed to say. Its never nice to be excluded.

Hope you get a reasonable response.
