Help finding a cheap holiday suitcase!

Likes socks said, if you're flying make sure you don't go over your luggage allowance. Usually one bag and one allowance goes with one person, you can't combine your allowances into one heavy bag.
I seem to have a bee in my bonnet lately about luggage allowance but I have to say I generally fly to either my in-laws in Canada or my sister in America so I'm usually packed to the brim with presents and English food! We fly next Friday and 3 of us have 2 x 23kg each but most flight bookings made after December 2010 the luggage allowance is now 1 x 23kg bag.
I've seen adverts on TV for European flights with a 'whopping' 15kg allowance!! and you have to pay for it!!!
All I can say about buying your luggage is to buy the best LIGHTEST bags you can afford. I'm guessing you want to put all of your clothes together to avoid the 'per bag' charges.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

Thanks in advance
Although it's not a cheaper option, you may be better with 2 smaller suitcases.
You don't say if you're flying or not but some airlines have weight limits per case.
Also, if you have EVERYTHING in one case and it goes missing
but if you pack 2 cases sensibly (clothes, shoes for you, your OH & son shared equally between cases) it won't be such a calamity.

This side of the Pennines I would recommend Cheshire Oaks. Your equivalent is York Designer Outlet, where there is both a Samsonite and Antler store.

Alternatively, TJ Hughes always has bargain luggage. Your nearest is Bradford.

For cheap ones which is what the OP wanted I'd go to Asda or Morrisons - but agree with others, would get 2 cases of mid size rather than 1 large - easier to handle, 1 could go missing leaving you with nothing (so split clothes between both).A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Its worth pointing out though that in advising people to get 2 cases rather than just the one may cause them problems.
Many airlines are now restricting their luggage to just one per person in the hold. Fine when a couple are travelling, maybe not so when one person is travelling alone.
That said i'm one of those people who could take their holiday clothes in a carrier bag so it depends on the individual. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
