OH is off today, but I have the boys to take to school, dogs to walk and then people to interview at playgroup this afternoon, a chat with the head!!! Tomorrow there is a jumble sale that I have to prepare for (I'm organising it!) and on Sunday the children have swimming in the morning.

I'd like to do something with them though so I think we might go to the cinema and then perhaps have a day out in the park or something.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

You stole my line, ultimate money saving for me, i am working all day sataday and sunda, boooo. But as its time and a third sat and time and two thirds sunday can't really complain.

Df will be home with dd and no car, ifits nice he will probably take her on the train to ipswich and play in christ church park. then we have some shakeaway vouchers from club card deals so he can treat her to a milkshake.

If the weather is wet he will probably just stay in watching the shaun the sheep dvd on loop, lol

Next weekend i am only working good friday so am looking forward to a trip to pettitts, (weather pending) and possible colchester or banham zoo (with clubcard vouchers), maybe pizza express (with clubcard vouchers).

Mmmm! I've just ordered the Lamb for easter.... I haven't had lamb in about 15 years so I'm not sure if I will like it. Remember not liking the smell of it though.

I will have to find a good recipe for it

Mmmmmmmm lamby, my absolute fave!! I usually keep it simply and stab a leg of lamb about 20 times and poke garlic and rosemary into the holes, pour over a glass of red over it, season and cover it with foil for the first hour or so of cooking time. It sort of steams in red wine which makes it really tender and you take the foil off half an hour before to allow the skin to crisp a little.

Making me hungry thinking about it and I shouldnt be- just eaten a package of choccie digestives at my desk :p

I do feel for you both, I used to be a restaurant manager working unsociable hours and weekends. I'd quite like to work a weekend every once in a while though, even if it is just to stop myself from spending money :p
