I'm planning on doing very little this weekend! I've had a hectic, hard, grafting week at work so need to catch up on sleep and chill out. Might have lunch with the girls on Sat, but other than that my only plans are to read my library books :)

PenPen, is it the Misse Sollenelle? Our choir sang excerpts from that last year,
the alto solo Misere is beautiful, but we found the chorus parts complicated.

It is :D It's been a hard slog, but should be a good concert :T Last rehearsal, before the run through with soloists, pianist and organist on Saturday aftternoon, starts in 1 hour

Mmmm! I've just ordered the Lamb for easter.... I haven't had lamb in about 15 years so I'm not sure if I will like it. Remember not liking the smell of it though.

I will have to find a good recipe for it

Is it a leg of lamb? We stuff ours with garlic, fresh rosemary and calamata olives. To stuff lamb, make lots of little slits in the meat with a sharp, pointed knife and put a bit of each stuffing ingredient in the slit. Roast it slowly at low heat on a grid over a tray of fresh veg such as parsnips, carrots, butternut squash, mushrooms, sweet peppers etc. Use juices from meat and veg to make gravy. I add a little port to my gravy, which is yummy!

I'm flying to the other side of the world for 10 days in the sun.... woohoo!! Not sure if that helps with your money saving, though I am using airmiles for the flight...
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Thanks :) that sounds delicious. Yes it is a leg, it was a very good price for a piece of welsh lamb so will wait to see if I get a taste for it :)

We (2 adults and 3 kids) are planning to go to the Railway Museum in York - which is free entry. Taking our own packed lunch of course and a small amount of money for them to have a go on the little train - weather permitting of course!!!

Sunday is visiting family, walking the dog and having a nice sunday roast.

    EM xx
