AFAIR has there not been some discussion about having no leg to stand on when the price is obviously a mistake, which this clearly is?0

Vienna is the last one on the page.Maybe they have taken it off now.
If they dont honour it and it is a small firm i think you should let them off(i would) as if its a small company we dont want to rip them off(unlike tescos etc) as thats not what this sites about. If it was a true bargain. Good luck to you under your new nice lights!0 -
Good luck guys but lots of us on this forum now that a contract isn't a contract until the postman knocks on the door with a parcel!
Try not to lose sleep/ have anxiety attacks/ threaten legal action etc etc.
These things very rarely come off and if they do it's a bonus, if not, it was worth a punt.0 -
I have just had a phone call from a very rude man from Alert Electrical saying that there has been an error on the website and that the item is out of stock, he told me that I should accept a refund and leave it at that. I told him he was in breach of contract as a rep of AlertElectrical and then he told me there was nothing he could do. He refused to send me anything in writing to this effect and even admitted that it was an error. As the guy was so rude I asked him to whom I should speak. Turns out the MD is a M. Randall at Units 2-3, Clarendon Court, Ileston DE7 8EF. What should I write in a letter to him, as the guy i spoke to refused to discuss supplying goods of a similar quality and value to me. I reckon they're in the wrong and simply don't want to know. Has anyone else had a call? Technically they should respond in writing shouldn't they?0

He neednt be rude as hes not doing much for advertising his firm but i wouldnt kick up too much of a stink as this site is all about moneysaving and it doesnt want to damage small companies by price errors as in minutes they could lose a fair sum by the amount of people looking at these threads especially as only 5 people thanked OP but im sure more than 5 made an order!!!.0

Well really as the value is £0.00 then he does'nt have to send anything.0

Oh well. It was worth a try and fun i guess. I hope they've learnt a valuable lesson. Back to Ebay it is then for a cheap ceiling fan....0
