very very cheap ceiling fans and light

Head on over to https://www.alertelectrical.com

Under the section labelled ventilation, look under decorative ceiling fans. choose the sub section 'fans with lights' and scroll down to the last option on the page. At the moment there's a fantastic offer on the 42" Nevada fan. Everything else on the site has a reasonable price so I can only assume that this is some form of loss-leader. Here's the url for the page in question:

This seems a reputable company, so get your orders in quick before the price goes up!

    Hmmmm !!

As an aside... "Forward control for Summer operation, Reverse control for Winter operation"

What does that mean - does rotating the blades anti-clockwise heat up the air ???

Not quite - in summer the fans blow one way to provide ventilation. In Winter they can spin a diferent way to bring the warmer and higher air downwards. What do you think of the price. Having ordered one already and been sent a confirmation as well as having the princely sum of £5.88 p&p charged to my card I think we've got a pretty solid contractual agreement going. Any way they can pull out of the deal?

    hot air rises,
so in the winter, by reversing the rotation, it blows the warm air back down again.

Surely they have to honour this agreement. They offer a price on the website, we as customers accept the offer, then they confirm the order as processed and confirmed. This means there has been an offer, an order and a confirmation. That HAS to be a contractual agreement between 2 parties???

Nothing on the site suggests anything other than a professional company trading on-line. I'm presuming it's a loss leader. There's no way I'd presume such a big company would make a mistake (!)...

With temperatures soaring this has to be the deal of the decade!!!

Orders under £45.00 we charge £5.00 + VAT. This is based on next working day delivery if the order is received before 12pm (Mid day). Orders despatched on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday. Please note that delivery next day is only possible if the goods are in stock
    .

As estimated delivery date is 4th August I assume they dont have this product in stock for next day delivery?
