on another note - I thought today was payday for me and was so excited (not sure why cos after a day all of it is either budgeted or paid off CC's - but i do like to see it in the bank for a day!) No pay in the bank though! Was in uni today so not been in work to see if anyone can explain why today is not payday! (unless of course they have sacked me without telling me and I have been turning up on voluntary basis!)
Also checked my MBNA cc statement and it turn out i have been scammed by a company called shopperdiscount.com!!! There were 2 transactions of £10 in the last month to them - after doing some investigating it turns out that I bought some train tickets in January with the CC and there was a box to tick for a £10 discount off the next purchase - i ticked it and this automatically signs you up for this discount scheme. I have found a phone number for the comapny but it is closed now! going to phone them and try to get my money back tomorrow - not impressed!0 -
Hi Judi, thanks for delurking.
Bit of a pain about the scam, hope you can get it refunded. And hope your salary gets sorted too, definitely don't want to be working for free!

Thanks Katsu - I am hoping to clear about £1600 off this month - hence my reasons for being excited that it was payday (except it wasn't!). I am hoping to get some back payment for oncall duties that I have been doing for the last 4 months without pay and some travel expenses from January - so there should be a bit extra in my pay this month.0

Judi - I think I've seen some info on the forums or main site about that sneaky shopper discount thing - I believe the people who argued did get refunds?
