They have just put average speed cameras on a single carriage way A road near me it's not a nice road and people do 80 plus down it because it's long and straight - personally I think average speed cameras are a better way of enforcing speed than the fixed ones - I can think of a couple of other roads I would like to see them on.
They would roll them out further and it would be an effective way of reducing speeding, but 1st we have to accept that the idea is to stop speeding, not collect revenue from speeders.
