You can only buy one per season ticket as they usually mark the back of your pass when you buy the partner card.
In the past I've done this for my partner, brother & just a mate so they do not actually check if you are a couple when you purchase the £1 card.
The 'partner' has to fill in a form on a leaflet & go along to the station with you to purchase it so your pass can be checked.
Again, no photocard is required for them. Note that the conditions are exactly as for the standard Network Card rather than the Gold Card (which has slightly preferable conditions, such as no £10 minimum spend before discount etc).

Does anyone know if the network railcard is valid on the Stanstead Express? It mentions the Heathrow Express but not Stanstead...0

If you can justify it financially (use it enough, in other words) you can BUY a GOLD card yourself - buying one from Ryde Pierhead to Ryde Esplanade will cost around £105, if my memory serves right. You don't have to use it; merely use the perks."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -
They do not have to be your "partner". You can buy it for a "relative or friend".SplashWellyKid wrote:In the past I've done this for my partner, brother & just a mate so they do not actually check if you are a couple when you purchase the £1 card.

Yes, it is valid on the Stansted Express, which is operated by 'one railway' (what a silly name for a train company!).0 -

Was that the one which, previously, had had the much more sensible name of 'c2c'!"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -
Maybe this will help a few people. You can actually get money off for Friends and Family too, so you don't have to all apply for this card:-
The Network Railcard allows you and up to 3 other adults to travel with you and save 1/3 off leisure travel throughout London and the South East. You may also take up to 4 children (5-15 years) each of whom pays only 1/5 of the normal adult fare (minimum £1) instead of the half price fare children normally pay.
When is off-peak?
Off-peak means any time at weekends and Public Holidays and any time after 10.00am Mondays to Fridays (minimum £10 fare applies Monday to Friday).
Where will you go with your Network Railcard? There are so many great places to visit! The South West Trains network stretches into some of England's most beautiful counties: Berkshire, Devon, Dorset, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Wiltshire.
Days out by the sea
For a day out by the sea, jump on a train to Poole, Weymouth or Bournemouth, the gateway to the first UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in England.
Kids' days out
Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park and LEGOLAND Windsor are all great family attractions, and children love the Dinosaur Museum in Dorchester.
For more information about all these attractions and other day trip ideas visit https://www.daysoutguide.co.uk.
Hope this helps

No C2C are still around, although both C2C and 'One' are owned by National Express.crossleydd42 wrote:Was that the one which, previously, had had the much more sensible name of 'c2c'!0
