He is simply asking for opinion on what is reasonable to expect, should TS and the garage agree a resolution to any dispute!!

Because you cannot state what is reasonable to expect with the limited detail given and lack of feedback.

If he has some rough circumstantial evidence maybe he could wangle a gallon of oil from them, if he has good and solid evidence important service items have been missed that could have further damaged the vehicle or was clearly missold then that would obviously be a different response.

If he only wants pure legal advice without the tangents then CAB or solicitors are good but a public forum will always include a bit of chat and half arsed uneducated advice.

I would take the car to a chain such as National, pay £30 and have an oil change and filter :)

The amount of time and effort wasted arguing would outweigh that IMHO

It's pretty clear TS are approaching this looking to resolve it on a 'guesture of goodwill' basis, otherwise they wouldn't be asking what he wants.

Unless he or TS employ a expert witness in the form of a top motor engineer to do a full Sec 9 witness statement and detailed report on his analysis and findings, then we are not looking here at proving an offence to the standards required in the Criminal Courts are we?

The question is simple, what should he expect TS to agree by way of solving the dispute, regardless of any admision of liability?

My view was if you aren't happy with the car and it's running rough and you've had it just over a month, ask them to seek a return with full refund. The garage could offer that if they wished, without accepting any fault on their part and everyone walks away happy...ish!

Nah as I stated earlier, has to be something in the region of a McLaren F1 or possibly a Koenigsegg, other wise the OP would have just sent for a £50 oil change.

You're probably right. If you complain to the dealer their response will be "I'm dreadfully sorry, sir, I had no idea you were buying it to drive".
