Free nursery places should be for those who need it most, ie those that are at work. Even if they allocated places to workers first, that would be an improvement IMO. After all it is the workers who are actually paying for the nursery at the end of the day.

Why doesn't everyone just pack their jobs in and claim benefits, then what would happen?

You really have no idea how the system works do you ?

It seems I don't have any idea at all how the system works doesn't it?!

Me and my partner should both pack our jobs in and claim every benefit going. Get our house paid for, get our kids paid for, get free internet, ...............

So should everybody else in the country. :money:

Is there anyone contributing to this thread who has done that, or even in a similar position to that?

If you are asking me, as you quoted what I said, I do not know what each and every person on this thread has done, do you?

I was replying to a comment which said I know nothing about the system, going by some of the remarks I have had aimed at me on here, I think it is only my lack of understanding on how to play the system that is the problem.

Going to work to support my own family seems to be the wrong thing to do, and suggesting that others do the same is definitely a no no.
