We found the Electric Flea Killer very good.

(The link is just to show you what I mean, I've never bought from this online store).
We liked it as it was safe around animals and children. Apart from when the hamster escaped (don't ask).
Our vet recommended ACCLAIM flea spray and I think this is what finally broke the cycle and got rid of them altogether.
As has been said, we also put a collar inside the vaccuum bag and vaccuumed everywhere as often as possible.
We used drops from the vet's surgery on the animals...I like the comment about hitting the fleas on the head with the supermarket drops! Our vet said they weren't worth using.
We also washed all the pets' bedding and deep cleaned where they slept at the same time as treating them.
It's just a matter of being persistent and being vigilant even when you think they've gone. That's one reason I like the Electric Flea Killer, you can leave it down and monitor it. If it's caught any fleas you know you need to take action.20p Savers Club #1020 -

She's sprayed her house (twice) and used frontline (twice) and she is still finding fleas on her cat and even jumping around the house.
We're going to to try Frontlining the cats again and a friend suggested steam cleaning the carpets, beds etc.
We're going to do this every day for a week, hopefully it'll kill the fleas and larvae if not at least she'll have a very clean house:rotfl:.March G.C. £300 fail 🙄

if theres that much of a prob phone the council and get them to fumigate or use a veterinary licenced product thats effective you will have to treat the whole house / anywhere where the pets have been - phone your vets for further adviseBR as of 14/1/2009

We've just used advantage on our two as fl doesn't work anymore in this area. They are much happier already. Love the garlic capsule and lemon water tips and will try them out if needed."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
