I put a garlic capsule into my dogs dinner. Fleas seemingly don't like the smell. It must be true as my dog now doesn't have fleas.0

Oh yes, my mother swears by this. She usually slips the cats a garlic capsule when they start scratching.0 -

Please can I advise people not to put tea-tree oil on their cat's fur! It is actually toxic to them, and could make them seriously ill if they wash themselves afterwards or through it sinking through their skin!
The best thing that we found for getting rid of fleas when our cat had an infestation, was to get the house spray from the vets - it cost about £15, advocate for the cat, and hoover regularly to make sure that you have cleared up any of the black crystals that are their cocoons (can't absorb the spray).Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Funnily enough my daughter is having this problem.
She's sprayed her house (twice) and used frontline (twice) and she is still finding fleas on her cat and even jumping around the house.
We're going to to try Frontlining the cats again and a friend suggested steam cleaning the carpets, beds etc.
We're going to do this every day for a week, hopefully it'll kill the fleas and larvae if not at least she'll have a very clean house:rotfl:.0 -
The problem is the pupae: they can lie dormant for up to six months and no insecticide known to man can kill them until they emerge. This is why you are still seeing them. It doesn't necessarily mean that the measures your daughter has taken aren't working. Keep the cats protected, use a household spray at regular intervals and hoover, hoover, hoover.0
