You learn something every day. I didn't even know teething powders existed.
We just use a teething ring, not even bonjella.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

I have often thought this too - it does look dodgy!SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -

Like all homeopathy there is no evidence for it, however my evidence is having a fretful baby in pain, giving them the teething powder for her to be a happy soul 20 minutes later. Or when she had a fever of 102 and I gave her belladonna as it was in the cupboard in immediate reach, and sent DH out for Calpol, by the time he got back her temp had gone and never needed to give her the calpol, carried on with the belladonna and all was well by the next afternoon, she slept fine and no worrying temperature returned. That is evidence enough for me. I'm not trying to convince anyone, I don't care what others choose to do, but for me I have had nothing but positive experiences of it.
I use a lot of homeopathic remedies and will always try them before using Calpol etc and they have always been successful and have rarely had to give DD any 'real' medicine, (she has had it twice in her 21 months, due to having run out of Teetha powders)0 -

they have these in ASDA in the 2 for £4 baby section.
I have used A&P powder and Teetha - no idea if they work reallyA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

I guess when you think about it - having teeth pushing up through your gums for the first time is going to be painful whatever you give so I guess anything (within reason of course) that appears to help is worth a go0 -
The truth is they work on some people and some they don't - just like if you smoke weed some will get ridiculously high (like me, the one and only time i tried it when i was in my late teens), some it'll barely affect lol!
I personally find homeopathic remedies often work on me...the biggest one being what i took for morning sickness - It was the ONLY thing that worked and if i stopped taking it for a few day the sickness came back. As fernlibee states, that was enough evidence for me too and i'd rather try something homeopathic before reaching for the medicine (that often has numerous possible side affects) but obviously wouldn't shun real medicine if bubs was in pain and the homeopathic stuff wasn't workingMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
I meant to add for anyone wanting to find Teetha in places like Boots etc - I have always found that they do not keep it with the other teething remedies or in baby section it is in the homeopathic remedies section of the phamacies. I always have to ask where it is because I can never seem to find it.SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0

Oooh if so i must go buy some for this baby - they were fab!!! :T Lol, i hope thats what you were reffering too, lol, i'm all excited now as i bought mine just after someone invented them in America some years back and the only place was Ebay and £10+ for just one - haha!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
LOL - and if you have just litterally seen the news (south) oils from a certain homeopathic or aromatherapy product (didn't hear quick enough which) has been shown to kill MRSA in a hospital, they are calling for more research. Never shun something to soon, lol!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0
