Can anyone check out this site and post up any info about how I best go about getting back my £29.99 I paid to get a copy of the title deeds for my house. They sent e-mail back after I paid the £29.99 saying they didn't have a copy of the deeds but no refund. They do not reply to e-mails. Their T & Cs state that the price is to search the registry which is why the site is still live and free to continue SCAMMING innocent members of the public, surley this is fraud and definite mis selling of a product, comments please.

Had same issues a while back. Think I emailed em saying that I wanted a refund and was informing trading standards (or something similar). Filled in an online claim form and I mysteriously got refunded 90% back to my card

90% of a refund is far from satisfactory but is better than nothing, how are these sites allowed to accept visa and debit card payments, why do the relevant authorities not close them down. Can I create a website and do the same thing under a different heading ? Surely not !!0

here's another person who's had the same experience:

If they say they obtain official copies then they must have access to the official portal.
Perhaps the Land Registry should consider whether they should continue to have that access as they are charging considerably more than the actual cost of the copies.
Does anyone from the Land Registry look at this forum?
In case anyone doesn't know the site to go to is www.landregistry.gov.ukRICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
You can also report them to Action Fraud, its the central place to report all forms of fraud. If necessary they can give you a crime number and advice about what to do next.0

Thanks folks for your advice, it's much appreciated, will get on to Derby trading standards tomorrow and Action Fraud, thanks again.0

Hi ALL,
I have just joined this forum as my brother is a victim of this site and I feel that I may be able to help a little.
Doing research of my own, I came up with this;
There are a couple websites owned by the same person/company. www landregistrydeeds.co.uk and www titleregisters.co.uk.
They are registered by the same domain register company. Have a look at the details below and see if this helps you.
Titleregisters.co.uk is listed for sale at (www sedo.com/search/details.php4?language=us&domain=titleregisters.co.uk&partnerid=17505)
Have a look at the domain name info for the owner, the websites look very similar and the general location area is also similar.

According to the Companies House webcheck service, the company address is
Name & Registered Office:
TITLE REGISTERS LIMITED
THE COACH HOUSE, KILLINGTON
CARNFORTH
LANCS
LA6 2HB
Company No. 064515420 -
If you call the card company and tell them the service is a scam they will refund your account. Tell them about this bulletin board.
Also call Protx who processed your payment and complain to them about this customer of theirs. They are already aware but more complaints will help.
The 26 year old owner of the site, James Jurek Rutherford of 24 Leivers Ave, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 7FW is also on Facebook with address in the name james.j.rutherford but he might not reply to your message.
Phone number unknown at present.0 -
Sorry to report that this little scumbag JAMES JUREK RUTHERFORD is continuing to operate his scam. I fell victim to him last week before seeing this forum. However, I have traced his last known address in Nottingham and that of Company Secretary at Carnforth, Lancs and passed all this information to Barclaycard, the Nottingham Police, the Lancashire Constabulary, the Serious Fraud Squad and Nominet.
This little !!!! needs to be behind bars for a while.0
