Can someone please help me with this or advise what I'm doing wrong as it's driving me $@X?& mental!!!
I am connected to the internet via a wireless connection which works perfectly (touch wood). However, I also have a back up dial up connection installed for when I'm out and about with my laptop and need to get online quickly if no other options are available to me.
So far so normal. However, if I try and access a site via my wireless connection that's no longer in use or faulty or whatever the dial up box pops up automatically. So, I go to Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections and click the 'Never dial a connection' box to stop it. The dial up connection (BTOW fact fans) is always shown as the default. I have to do this every time I start up the laptop and come across a site I have trouble accessing.
I would rather not have to uninstall the BTOW dial up software as I often need it at short notice but is there anything I can do to make it dormant so that annoying dial up box doesn't appear at all?
Many thanks in advance

You don't need to uninstall the BTOW software but you need to stop it being invoked at every startup. Download RegCleaner and click on the Startup List Tab. You should find a line relating to a BTOW item that you can remove to stop this happening.
HTH:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Downloaded this now - but I don't think it's in the start-up list. There's nothing relating to BTOW there anyway0 -
