    :o another obsessive here! :o

I've only got one gravel tray going at the min with 7 cucs and 5 tom seeds in it. 4 cucs are showing and 1 tom, i check them probably a dozen times a day and spray with water mist twice a day when the sun has been on them.:D

Last year was my first doing veg and i hated the idea of flowers!

This year though i am doing LOADS of flowers to get the bees in and for dd2 to enjoy looking at. The garden does look a bit bare with just veg growing in it! :o

Two years ago i wouldn't be caught dead even standing in a garden (major phobias) so it is amazing how much of a buzz and an obsession this can quickly become! :rotfl:
2009 - Attempting to grow my own Kitchen garden..... :o did it!!!
2010 - Attempting to make my garden a beautiful place for dd2 to enjoy!

Me too!! I check them when I get up in the morning and move them onto the windowsills in conservatory, then just before I leave for work. When I get home from work (after feeding the cat!), before bed when I move them off the windowsills - they are my babies!!!

I also have some in the garden, which I check at least once a day - I love it but like Megansmum - if you had told me a couple of years ago that I would grow anything from seed I would have said 'you're nuts' :D

It's an obsession, but a good one IMHO

Neither am I but I grew french marigolds last year as I was told if you put these near your toms etc the greenfly will go to these instead of the tomatoes, plus they will attract bees to your garden and help with the pollination of your fruit and veg.

    ;)

Well the way i figure it, is this is the first time in 10 years of living here that i have grown anything whtsoever in my garden so i'm very pleased that i have found an interest in the garden at last and who knows, maybe one day (or one year) i will progress to enjoying flower gardening too :)

I agree - it's enormously addictive. In fact I was thinking just this morning (as I peered at the latest batch) that raising from seed is my favourite gardening activity.

I bet you don't, I bet you will be growing tons more varieties of fruit and veg that you wouldn't even dream of doing now.

I too am addicted! I have taken over the whole of our porch with all my seed trays and now pricking into pots. I have so many and I tend to them often :D I am so pleased that we have another door to use to get in and out otherwise I think the man of the house would be a bit peeved.

    It's so satisfying!
