My favourite perfume is Y by Ysl and Pure Poison by Dior
Thanks.....

I only ever have one scent at a time & have none just now because my favourite made by Lespa has been discontinued & I can't find anything even remotely like it
it was spicy, woody & ultimately smelled of cinnamon, sounds weird, but it was just wonderfulI sometimes think I suit aftershaves better than perfumes. My sister always smells lovely and has lots of perfumes, but when she gives me a squirt it just doesn't smell the same.
Right now i've got some Gucci by Gucci aftershave on. My son just bought it today - and it's lovely and citrusy (sp)
I used to wear Dior's Eau Sauvage (very citrusy) & latterly Givenchy Gentleman (sucker for Patchouli)
Not true, I'm a woman and detest smelling perfume on other people, by that I mean you can smell them a mile off, not just a nice whiff if you're standing speaking to them.
trouble is, most ladies who have a favourite scent become immune to it so do the old 'Enry cooper "Splash it all over" method. I was always told that proper ladies used scent just enough that anyone who was close enough would smell it, and no one else. Works for me, and saves us poor allergy sufferers from sneezing on you too.
I have a friend who sprays herself with one of her myriad perfumes every time she visits the ladies on an evening out & I can't sit next to her by the end of the night _pale_My all time favourite is Rive Gauche by YSL, closely followed by Diorella by Dior (;)). I also like Chanel No 5 but the smell seems to disappear very quickly after I've sprayed it, even other people can't smell it (eau de parfum).
I've been on a mision for several years now to find a new perfume but so far I keep going back to my french classics.
Linda xx& before that I wore Diorella which is the female version of Eau Sauvage, which I wore before that
when my current favourite was discontinued, I tried Rive Gauche again, & it smelled terrible on me, I was so disappointed. I think it must be because the chemical composition of my skin has changed over the years
ah well, back to the search, I'm currently investigating Penhaligon's fragrances0 -
I'm desperate to try Angel after hearing so much about it. i was almost tempted to just buy some earlier but its far too expensive @ £25 for 15ml if I don't like it lol
Patchwork, HND/HNC are equivalent to A levels too as a vocational route into Uni, certainly not degree level quals. As far as I recall with an HNC you only need to do 2yrs at Uni to get sufficient points for a degree but HND requires the full 3yrs. As you're aware, modules are just that, a few weeks tuition/training on a particular subject as part of an overall course, and not individual qualifications on their own
Apols again for off-topicness, pm's are off due to a particular poster abusing them.
Back on-topic, I have to say my current favourite daytime perfume is Emporio/Armani Diamonds. Got it for xmas and it's really growing on me“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Doesn't putting someone on ignore prevent them PMing you?0 -

Oh I'm not sure, never tried it before.... but will, so thank you“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
My favourite perfume is Kenzo flower. Its light and floral and just so very summery.
I would definately recommend it to someone who isnt into the thick heavy and strong smelling perfumes.
For this reason I really hate Angel (sorry) Its just far too cloying for my taste and I aggree with another poster that some women just seem to pour it on.
One woman I know wears so much that you walk away smelling it on you after just a 2 minute conversation with her."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye" - Miss Piggy0 -
I have a very good friend who as a thank you bought me this versace perfume about 15 years ago. At the time the only stockist in Scotland was Jenners in Edinburgh and they only brought in one order a year which my friend was always on the waiting list for. It had been her signature perfume for years and she wanted me to have it too.
I hated it with a passion but was too polite to do anything other than thank her profusely - far too profusely as she reserved a bottle each year as a Xmas gift until it was discontinued. I used it as air freshener and would happily give a bottle to anyone who expressed the slightest interest in it (it was a nice bottle design).
I feel guilty every time I see a Versace perfum bottle and wish I'd been more honest - she must have wondered why she never smelled it on me.
My MIL also went through a phase of buying me Gloria Vanderbilt perfume every year - that was another air feshener - did anyone else get frequent perfume gifts which they hated but didn't have the courage to say so or was it just me?0 -
