CLOSED - Jeans for 11p

I got two e-mails from them today - one obviously a standard one, and the other in reply to my e-mail to them - both saying the same thing - that they had mis-priced the item, and therefore they had cancelled the order. But if I wanted the jeans, they were happy for me to go back to the website and re-order!! Which, when I looked earlier, would have been difficult anyway, as those specific jeans were no longer on the list!0

Contractor wrote:I also received an e-mail saying this. I've got plenty of available funds on my credit card, so I just phoned my CC company who confirmed that no transaction has been declined and they have no evidence of any such transaction being submitted. It really pi**** me off when companies tell blatant lies like this. If they'd have just come back saying it was a pricing error I would have left it at that. I'll now send them a rather sternly worded e-mial me thinks.
A card being declined doesnt neccasarily mean you dont have funds, cards can be declined because you have, in error, entered a number incorrectly. The card payment will then be declined as it has failed online authorisation.

Additions just rang to offer me an account with them. Cheek of it  I told them it wouldn't be much use if they didn't have any stock.

Yes additions phoned me too offering me an account, i told them that i havent my oreder yet etc... she says that if it was a pricing error its totally there fault and they should honour it. she asked me if i spoke to anyone, I said only e-mailed and that there just shrugging their shoulders! she said sounds like they are just trying to fob you off and keep pestering them lol
she also says that they are getting more stock and that theres a 5 - 6 week delay.
this is the reply i got today lol
Thank you for your email.
Although I sypathise, unfortunately, we are not about to alter
the fact that this was just a priceing error.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this matter.

I've been playing email tennis and getting the same old same old....order cancelled...pricing error...please refer to ts & cs. I've advised them that in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations they have 30 days to fulfil the contract or I'll be claiming loss of bargain via the Small Claims Court. I got the feeling that the emails were just being replied to by people who had no idea of the possible consequences, so asked them to ensure that my emails were forwarded to their legal department.
This is the last email I got from them. Please feel free to use this address to write to. I shall be sending a letter by recorded delivery tomorrow!!Dear Ms *****
Thank you for your email about the jeans (KJ7526).

I had a letter on Tuesday informing me that i wouldnt be recieving my jeans as they had run out of stock. A load of balloney i thought at the time, as they have stocks in on a daily basis and a cheap pair of jeans would sell well. I couldnt be arsed with the hastle so i chucked the paper in the bin.
I got an email this morning confirming i wouldnt get my jeans as there was a problem with the price on the website. So that got me angry and i mailed them asking to make their minds up. Told them in the letter they sent me, they told me they had no stock. I told them, that it was their mistake, and they should honour their mistakes.
I got an email back this evening saying, they have no records of a letter being sent out to me.
I told them they have terrible customer service, and to sack the webdesigner. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I think we should all bombard them with emails and letters of complaint just so they know we aren't going to let go of this one.
They are in the wrong and are just trying to wriggle out of it.0 -

I had the cancellation emails as well and have sent them an email stating that I am going to contact trading standards if they don't honour the original order.
Thanks for ordering the Brooker Men's Mansize Jeans, (KJ7526).
Whilst we try to ensure that all prices are correct on our website,
I am afraid that mistakes do sometimes occur which can result
in goods being shown at the wrong price.
At the time of your order, the price of the above item was incorrectly
listed. The correct price of the item is £11.00.
In line with our internet terms and conditions, we have now cancelled
any orders for the above goods. A full refund will be made for
any card payments already authorized.
In the meantime, if you would still like the goods at the correct
price, simply visit our website to place your order.
Please accept our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience
this may have caused.
Regards,
Joan Beeby.
