Don't know why they can't just ask for an email address. What relevance is date of birth, gender or even address at this stage?

Address is so they can spam you via the post, the other bits are so they can target their "offers" towards you.
  • I have just logged onto my online banking and London 2012 have charged me twice. Slightly annoying now I have to call a 0844 number to sort out their problem! My bank wasn't too helpful either!

Has anyone else had any problems?

About 700 people have been charged twice for Olympic tickets, the BBC has learned.
The glitch affected people who bought London 2012 tickets in the first phase of the "second chance" sale.

Ticketmaster, the company that has been managing the Olympic ticket process, was alerted to the error when contacted by customers.
The company says it has refunded all those affected and is confident there are no more cases still to be found
