I use kmplayer which can play music & video files.
My advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.
  • Best Media Player on The PC is VLC, just too good reliable but Music player I'd say Windows Media Player or Itunes but most of the time I use the internet, only use my ipod when not on the pc.

Great to hear this everyone. iTunes seems to be getting a load of support, of which I'm kind of surprised. Cause I hear that it's not so great on Windows all the time.

Thanks for yall details, cheers

iTunes is slow and bloated on Windows, can't be bothered waiting 15 seconds for it to load up every time I want to listen to a song.

I use Winamp (lite). It really whips the llama's a$$.

VLC for video in Ubuntu, and Audacious for music, they work just fine

I do prefer Amarok on Ubuntu. Setting global hotkeys with that player is easy. <3

winamp / vlc player. Itunes lasted about 2 minutes on my hard drive before it was swiftly uninstalled. Told wife to use her own laptop if she wants to infect my PC with her ipod touch software ;)
