Disgusted vodaphone customer!!!!
Options
:(:exclamati_pale_Hi I have a few problems that i need help with can anybody out there give me some good advice?
I set up a contract september 09 with vodaphone on a special deal of £15 for unlimited text and 300 minutes and then £6.99 for insurance. I have never recieved a bill and have been unable to gain access to online billing, i have phoned them to let them know about this problem. Anyway i have just recieved my yearly bank statement, which i was shocked to find that my bills have been higher than they should be because i have never gone over my minutes. Called vodaphone to ask why to which i was disgusted and shocked to find out that vodaphone has set up internet package without my knowledge and permission. The person at vodaphone said they would give me back some of the money , but i feel they have breeched their side of the contract and basically stole from me. I have since stopped my direct debit to them. Can anybody tell me where i stand from here?

Well stopping the DD is a really bad idea.
It sounds like, either a dealer added it and forgot to tell you. Or it was simply added in error. What ever the reason they're not in breach of contract and not paying them will only get your credit file trashed when they file a default.
Most networks will only credit back 3 month, going on the premise that you should be checking your statements monthly.0 -
Vodafone online billing is available to view bills.
You do have to go through a slightly awkward process where you go online, enter specific information to register and you are sent text messages with codes etc. Finally works .... and you can see your bills.
Once registered, you can turn off the online billing - at which point they will start posting paper bills every month.0 -
Anyone only recieving or relying on an "annual" bank statement is really asking for trouble. There could be many problems which go unnoticed - including identity theft - apart from this particular one. I find it amazing that people continually don't seem to check what's going on with their own personal accounts - many people report not having noticed insurance, gadget helpline fees and incorrect mobile payments going out over months and even years. I sometimes wish I could sign them up to something they don't ask for or need but which will pay me a regular sum for a long period before they even notice!
God knows what the tax man must get away with too!!0 -

You may FEEL they have breeched the contract but by not making payments you WILL be breeching the contract and you WILL end up being cut off and debt collection on your back. A phone contract is a credit agreement which means missed and late payments are recorded on your credit file. Vodaphone have not stolen from you, there has been an error which you failed to being to their attention for six months. You really need to be checking your bank statements regularly.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

i've found vodafone customer services poor since my upgrade a year a go, they added insurance on to my contract without telling me then when i phoned up the man on the other end was extremely rude and it took a while to get them to refund me! can't wait for my contract to be up in October then i'm switching networks!0

Why on earth do you only get an annual bank statement? About as much use as a chocolate teapot I would have thought.
What bank is that?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
