Thanks for the advice on the post- workmen cleaning! Although I tackled a lot of it by judicious use of plastic sheeting and the kitchen, bedroom and living room are mostly OK, there's bits of the hallway and study (and the top of the microwave which is on top of the fridge!) where I can still dislodge dust and tiny bits of rubble. It's a flat so no stairs or landing... Cheers all, have a good weekend, hugs to those that need them.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Just popped in to see if there was any news from Sandy..hope shes ok...
I'll drop in again a bit later..0 -
Evening everyone.
Just the dailies done today. Ive been into town again. I went to see a exhibition of photographs that turned out not to be there. The info in the paper had been wrong. Never mind I spent a interesting hour in the brand new 6 floor library with a very helpful librarian. The only bit I didnt like was the glass lift. I did a lot of walking as well around the city.
GS1 has had good news. They have been offered the house beside my DD and her mum. It will be much better than the flat they are in.
sandy. Ive been thinking of you and still am. Please let us know how you are. Hugs.
ajmoney. Sorry to hear about your friends horse. Hugs for you and her.
FFP Well done your DD.
sexymouse. Hugs for your MIL.

Evening all,
I'm glad you had a nice time with your friend Toots but am sorry you couldn't find what you wanted. Could you get it online instead?
Since my last post i have
Cooked tea
Ds2 helped me to put the rabbits to bed, water the plants and tidy the living room
OH did 1/2 the washing up & i finished it & S & S the kitchen
Played pictureka
Put Ds2 to bed
My washing pile is no longer overflowing :j mind you i haven't emptied the other 2 baskets for a couple of days. The kitchen, living room & bathroom are reasonably tidy, the rest is really bad. I'm going to get Ds1 to help me tomorrow. The poor rabbits really need cleaning out too and the strawberry plants need repotting.0 -

Can't believe that - first time I've ever had five stars!! Better have a lie down....
Also, I wanted to say thanks to Toots and macpep1 for your kind thoughts regarding my mum. There's been another addition to the saga...she now has to have a brain scan to check the blood vessels - there's some concern following the brain haemorrhage she had many years ago. Might put her operation back, too.
I hope everything went OK today Sandy. I'm sorry I missed the bus, but I suspect there were loads of flyladies there with you!
I've only picked up a couple of bits from the thread, so big apologies, but I'm sending loads of hugs to anyone who needs one - I think there are loads of us having a tricky time of it at the moment.
A big glass of wine is beckoning, so I'll head off now.
Take care all
Have a good evening.

The kitchen is looking pretty fab if I do say so myself!!
MUST get the tiles shortly.... I also promised DD1 we would repaint her bedroom these holidays so she may be given free reign with a roll and dustsheets!!
I need to dye her curtains too.. how many times will I have to dye pinky lilac to dark red?? 100% cotton mind so shouldn't be too horrific!
Her room is lilac but we are doing 2 walls white and 2 red.. hence red curtains.. I am (unknown to her) sneaking off to Ikea to get her a new desk and bed frame so she can have a nice grown up room!
Jacob is loving the new house it has a tiny front yard so he can go out to play so wants to be out every 2 minutes.. and he thought my garden was wonderful! DS and GF are liking it too I think.. but have realised it isn't as big as they had hoped but Jacob has his own room whch means lots of the toys are disappeared. They love not having stairs to the front door!gratefulforhelp wrote: »Well, I can't remember, but I think it was boddy or triker who I was trying to convince that there is never any need to do anything to hurt someone who has done you ill beacause the Lord, or karma, will do it for you.
XKH who did a flit when DD1 a tiny baby has lost his job. XKH's floosie who I believe he flitted to (woman who had affair with married man with tiny baby) is on mat leave with baby a few weeks old.
Now I haven't caused or contributed to any of this, and I do feel sorry for the innocent baby, but I can't feel sorry for the other two.
They have just bought a bigger house and XKH is driving a nearly new souped up car.

Fabric boxes reduced from 3 to 2.. that is 1/3rd gone!!
Boxes replaced in understair cupboard.. I need to get the remaining stuff away though.. about 5 huge carriers!
I need to remake the bed
shower and wash nest..
Tiddles is at orthopaedic surgeon tomorrow.. I'm thinking he is going to say she has cerebral palsy too.. her walking is just getting worse though.. I refused to buy her shoes this week after seeing her walk in boots the different is just massive.. but have you tried buying girls boots!! they are like rocking horse droppings!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Sexymouse, could you not send them all a big letter to say that you miss them and hope them the best in their future and that you'll never forget them...leave it in the classroom or post it so that it will be there for them when the new term starts.
Just checking in also re Sandy...hope she is ok.
Grateful....I know what your saying hun, re karma etc, I'm just waiting to hear that certain people that have affected my life get theirs....;).
Made and declutterd tea, got van back, decluttered DD1 to my friends for a night out and a pep talk....about to declutter a glass of vino.
Toots...my scaffolding is great thanks for asking :rotfl:it's been a long time that I've looked so...erm...upstanding...:D Have a lovely evening off.

Very pleased with myself as have completed week one of my personal fitness challenge I set myself while I was away on holiday. This week has been a mix of CV/Yoga/Resistance and has gone very well :jJust need to keep it going and hopefully see an improvement in my shape and fitness over the next few months. A couple of achy legs tonight too!
At least all that unused exercise equipment is getting some use instead of cluttering up the spare room and some more space has been freed up in there too
I've also decided to stop drinking, have only had a couple of drinks over the last couple of months and it's time to try another path in life without it.
My ex has fallen out with me because I went away and didn't invite him -eh? Don't get that one??? Just when I try and get on with my life! Now saying don't worry I got the message - like the one I got then.
I hope Sandy is ok, I have been reading the thread this week, plus I would love to come the Meadowhell to meet you all as it's fairly local to me and it used to be as I lived local to there, but I have work unfortunately - boo!
Well, if I check back and see what time you're all meeting I might take some time off and zoom down the M1final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
