Just had an update on DD friend - her stomach too badly damaged to repair so Drs have created a new smaller one at end of small intestine. Isn't it amazing what doctors can do and isn't it amazing what a wonderful piece of creation the human body is. One mad thing is that due to a superbug being present on the ward they are talking about discharging her on Friday having just had major surgery on Tuesday. Madness!

Speaking as someone in middle of decorating - get someone else to do it, is my best tip. :D You mustn't be climbing up ladders or any such stuff anyway, Smartie, my girl, supervising only for you :p.

Other than that, if you've never wallpapered before, get someone who is proficient to give you a demonstration/tips, take your time, remember it may shrink when dry and be sure to hang the pattern the right way up :D.

My paint is going on v..e..r...y.. slowly, stupid lumpy blown vinyl (daren't take it off because I know a lot of the plaster will fall off (experience from other rooms) and can't find money in budget for plasterer at moment.

Just de-cluttered lunch and must get on.

We did think about getting someone in to do it but we're going to try by ourselves!! *bites nails* :rotfl: I've done some in the past with help but DH has never done any:eek: It'll be an experience!

It's been about 4 years since I started painting the bathroom:o We're going to finish that as well:D

It WILL all be done by the time little bean will be here... as long as he's not early!!;):rotfl:

Speaking as someone else in the middle of decorating.. get it done!! Just don't be falling off any ladders!

I am halfway through the kitchen.. repainting after the fire 15 months ago :o.. THEN.. I am going to be tiling.. you are pregnant not broken or disabled!! I have spent most of my pregnancies decorating. it makes the time go quicker and you will never get it done once sproggit arrives!

over easter I am doing DD1's room.. and then the boys room, the landing/hallway and my room.. All before summer holidays hopefully!!

Just popping in quickly to send love and hugs before catching the train to York for the conference. Getting a bit excited now, but also nevous, as I'm not very brave about new places and people I don't know!

Look after yourselves while I'm away, and I'll catch up with you all on Sunday!

Paying my fare for the virtual bus to be with Sandy tomorrow. Sandy you may not have the support of your family but we are an army marching alongside you.

Would all the enthusiastic painters and decorators please come to my house. Pretty please:D

    THURSDAY DONE

I'm annoyed with DD1 she ommited to tell us she was working today so I couldn't go to watch DS2's football. DH has just rang and they lost 0-1 in a very close match.

I had a lovely lunch with 2 other friends and the birthday girl. Feel rather full still, I'll never fit into my bikini. I must start being sensible.

Pigpen just wondering......................am I just a slob or do curtains really have to be washed so often? It is tricky at the best of times to get them down and wash and I only really do this twice a year.......:o

    1 step

If they don't need doing.. just cross them off!!

most people will only do what needs to be done.. :D Mine have only been washed once in 5 years

Rosepink -hugs.gif LadyL is fine hon, she is just having some 'me' time, so please do not worry and no doubt she will have spoken to you by the time you read this or even posted!!
Jojo - Thank goodness for that, I thought I was the only woman in the world who wasn't a fan of Mr Depp and not really Tim Burton either. I saw Alice in Wonderland and like Charlie and the chocolate factory did not enjoy it.
Thanks for letting me know. And I can't stand J Depp either and don't really like the films he appears in. Not watched Charlie or Alice - can't stand either of those stories

RoseHope you don’t get DH’s nasty lurgy!!

So do I, you should hear his explosive sneezes! I feel so sorry for him, they sound like they are going to rip his body apart, and he's sneezed lke that about 50 times today. It sounds so painful and he makes pitiful little whimpering noises afterwards. He's gone to bed already poor boy

I'm getting edgy about going to the Bible meeting without DH and have 15 mins before I need to get ready so going to do some flying. Not done any apart from binbag dance in kitchen. Went for a walk this morning and then was doing work

    Love to all, must fly!

OK it's time to declutter my conscience. I have already moved to York a few weeks ago:o I have been travelling back down to see my neuro but now this has all happened I need to get established here.

The reason I said I hadn't moved yet is because one of the reasons we moved south was I met up with someone I met on the internet and she was a total psycho. She ended up stalking me and threatening the lives of our children. We moved to get away from her but we never settled there so we moved back and are hoping she never finds out.

I was nervous that she may be on here but I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and support here. You are all such lovely people and none of you seem like psycho's.
I am sorry if I lied to you and will understand if I am no longer welcome here. Thank you all for the support you have given me.

DH is still travelling up and down the country.
I have to face my new neuro tomorrow and find out what is in my brain:(
