Hi I have just gone through my bankruptcy court date on friday 16th.
can someone tell me,what do i do now, they said at the court that the or will contact you in a few days, but am i supposed to let him know with a call or something.
Also i have opened already a co-op cashminder account, which a was advised to do ,but will they close that as my wages are due to go in on the last day of the month.
could someone advise me as nt sure what to do at the mo.
other than that the bankruptcy day itself was very straight foward and dare i say quite painless, after all the worrying.xxxxi0 -
Hi wmay and welcome to the forum, the OR will contact you, no need to ring them. As long as you are not in Brighton your cashminder account will be fine, just tell the OR it is for everyday living expenses when you talk to them. If you are in Brighton the OR has the account closed and you have to open a new one, but this is only in Brighton.
Glad the day went OK for you and I have added you to our list:pB&SC No. 298

Hello and welcome wmay, Wait for them to ring you,the OR will ring just to confirm some details ask them then if you can use your coop account and they will ask the bank to unfreeze this. And this should be fine. Unless you live in Brighton.
The OR will then arrange a time to speak to you again, they will send you a BR pack. They will ask you for bank/credit card statements etc.
I know the build up to going BR is the most worrying. Anything else ask away.
Best wishes
