Thanks everybody. I've brought my baby home and dug a cat-sized hole under where the next veg patch is going to be (I'll membrane over the top or it would gross me out LOL - it's going to be a raised bed!).
She had a stroke several months ago but recovered from it really well. She lost her remaining sight a few weeks ago (it had been gradually failing for a long time) and had been adjusting to that really well too. Anyway, we had secured the garden so she could wander there safely, but it appears she had managed to scale the 6 ft fence (impressive since she wouldn't even jump up on the bed any more) and get into the next garden. We didn't dream she could still get over it! She was found in the garden over the fence yesterday lunchtime/early afternoon and was in a bad way. Chances are she didn't land too well as she couldn't see the ground - don't know what might have been on the other side that she landed on. Anyway when they took her to the animal rescue she was pretty bad. I spoke to them this morning and they said if I came and picked her up they would advise going straight to a vet to get her put to sleep. I did ask if she could have known she was going and tried to find a quiet place away from us to die and they said a lot of cats do leave home turf when they feel they are going. Anyway, I asked them if they could leave it till I could get to her to be with her and they said they would try (I had classfuls of kids I couldn't leave) but then the surgery called to say she had collapsed in her pen and could they go ahead without me. So of course I said yes as I didn't want her to suffer just so I could be there.
Anyway she looks very peaceful and I've stroked her and said goodbye. I'm going to wait till DD is home from school before I bury her in case DD wants to say goodbye too. She had a good life and was a happy and contented little thing, so best over before she suffers too much. I wish her last night hadn't been away from home and scared, but I won't dwell on that but on what a good friend she was.0 -

I think hes a lazy person, his mum ran round after him and he expects I should do the same, whereas I was bought up in a housrhold where everyone had to do there bit
I have tried to show him I appreciate him and made him surprise breakfast in bed on Sunday
Anyway i think the message about changing myself is very true ,in fact its what Ive been dicussing with my counciller and I have to say I dont feel so much of a victim anymore I feel I can change things for myself, even if he,s still a lazy *****,there is a lot of bad history between us and I have forgiven him for so much already but never learned to let go till now, I feel a lot lighter for it
Coming on this thread has helped me loads as well cos everyones so nice and supportive, which is something Ive lacked for sometime,so thanks everyone:A
You really would make an excellent counciller and I really apreciate you taking the time to help me
thanks:A
Funny you should say this as was chatting to toots a short while ago on the phone and well, I think I sorta had the lightbulb moment about my ex. I have learned so much about myself and have changed so much (all for the better) and realise so much blame that I carried was never mine to carry in the end..........Hello again,
Saucy - welcome home.
Right, I've re read my ramblings and they're..... well, erm good, I think. I'd really like to share them all with you, but not on an open forum. I've wrote them all down as they were written (more or less) I created and published a page on blogger but put no links to it anywhere on my main blog. If you would like to read it and let me know what you think, pm me or shout up on here and I'll send you the link.
Ideally would love all the posters to have a read as it's about us all working together on a project but not the casual readers who don't post, it's not ready for them yet.
Cagne, could you please email me the link. I am very interested in reading it and thank you xCagne me please!!!!
Thanks so much all of you. Do I remember someone saying they proof read? As I will need a volunteer or 2 to proof read the manuscript for my book when I am ready.
I proofread and always happy to help if you need it hon!
Welcome back Saucy nice to see you again.
2cats - I am so sorry to hear about your sweet kitty. I guess sometimes they know these things before we do, bless their furry little souls. Huge hugs! xxI am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -
