Todays just getting worse. OH ordered me some craft stuff to cheer me up, but reception signed for it, close between 12 and 3 and are going to want rent I don't have, or owe. Long story.
Then I've got a place on my course but they want £500 to secure my place, usually standard as its for the first module but student finance are paying my fees. Current suggestion is pay it and they'll pay it back, but I don't have it to pay. Kinda killed the excitement.
And OH is gone...he'll be back in a bit but I'm actually bedbound and can't get a drink :

Edit: I feel a bit better for that. Thank you. Nobody read it, I didn't come back to rant. I've got a funny story about the Mexican and underwear when I've got the energy to write it out...bless him he makes me laugh.

Mabel - you have my sympathy, my OH went back to work at 3pm yesterday after just 2 days off, and I was contemplating GBH! A whole week, my god, you are a braver woman than me!

Saucy - bless, wish one of us was closer! Hope OH is home soon and you get your bits, please tell me you got the dress and it fits, not that it is much good in bed! Ummm, is ther no way that the new course place can wait until yo have sorted sometihng if you explain to them the situation? Could you not get a letter from student finance that you could send to the new place to say that they will pay, just not right now? Maybe that would secure it for you?

Can OH not get the craft stuff. they have procedures and protocols for rent recovery and withholding your property is not one of them unless they have written and told you that that is what they will do.
If they mention it to him he can say that the matter is still in dispute and in the meantime he needs to get your property to you and they don't have a right to refuse.
Can you write OH a going out checklist of basics you need to be able to get access to while he is out so you are not left without a drink next time.
I think you said the place providing your course wer keen to support students who have medical and access issues. Can you or someone contact them and say that many people in your situation would have problems getting hold of a £500 lump sum and how do they plan to provide support to enable people to still access the course.
I'm happy to help out with letter writing etc if you don't feel up to it.
