  • Thanks, grrrr, this forum is no longer about moneymaking! DD loves penguins and they are not around for most of the year!

Amber - I dont know anything about cats so forgive me if I am stating the obvious or what you already know, but I think the cat was blind and therefore remained in the house. When 2cats was out for the wedding, the cat got out and as far as I can make out became disorientated and lost and probably frightened. I am not sure of the age of the cat, but it seems the trip out must have affected it quite badly.

This is why it seems odd to me that the shelter are talking about euthanasing her - if there is no physical reason for doing so, she should recover from the psychological shock once she's home in familiar surroundings.

The Dribblers website I am working on is basically a introduction to our money-making crusade, how we came about, what sort of things we do, links to websites etc. I'l let you know when I need more from you. Then somebody - or everybody - can go to work on the Dribblers publicity campaign!
  • Amber, that sound awesome! If you need any help, just let me know, although to be honest, I will probably be as useful as a chocolate teapot!

Wood Green are notorious for putting down animals, they have a really bad rep for it, used to work in a kennels and everyone else who worked there did their training at the shelter.

What kind of shelter puts down animals straight away without finding out if they have owners
I am so sorry 2 cats that is awful news *hugs* to you
My grandaughter has just landed so I will have to go

While I'm not doubting these places put animals to sleep maybe a bit too easily, I do recall 2cats saying this particular kitty was unwell before, a stroke IIRC and she spoke about having to change her username if the worst happened.. . I can't remember the exact details, but it was looking a little bleak for a while for kitty then she seemed to turn a corner, so perhaps not after all..... :(

Evenstar - one thing you could do is go and give him a big hug and a sloppy kiss and say thanks for filling the new tray. Will certainly surprise him.
Best way to get change is to change patterns. he won't be the one who starts changing patterns but you could.
If its a pattern that you want more help and he either doesn't give it or gets it wrong and then you feel fed up and unsupported. you could choose to only see and comment on the support that he does give and show him you're glad for it.
Don't look for what could be done better but love him up for the bits that he does do. don't see the litter tray that needs emptying - you would have had to do that anyway but see the clean tray that has been filled with litter. Make the bits that he does do feel good to him and to you.Not fake praise just a bit of loving appreciation. Change the energy into feeling good. you can't change him but you can view it in a different light.then he just might get pulled along into a more positive helpful way too.
Think about why you are with him and what he does contribute in any way at all and choose to focus on them.
If you are feeling down look at what you need and try to find it for yourself.
eg I am feeling unloved. find a way of loving yourself more.
I am feeling unheard. listen to yourself a bit more.
Feeling undervalued. then find ways of valuing yourself.
Feeling the need for peace. give yourself some peace from the voice in your head that tells you things should be different.
This something I have been thinking about in relation to this challenge as well.
Originally bingo started this after reading the secret which is based on the law of attraction.
One of the principles of the law of attraction is to see the abundance you have. you attract to you that which you think about so acting as if you have abundance attracts abundance.
So if you need more love act as if you have an abundancs of love and share it around.
If you want more money then give money eg to charity or elsewhere.
If you need more help in your life then give help. etc.
act as if you have enough to share and you will attract more to you.
This is also one way of expressing Gandhi's popular quote of "be the change you want to see"
I think this really rings true in the areas of love, support and happiness and is one reason why this thread is so successful because it allows us to support each other even when we are lacking in support ourselves. It is a place where we can contribute and feel supported and so we attract support back to ourselves.
I don't mean we have to be actively doing things for other people on here in order to be worthy of help.
Every one who posts on here contributes by keeping the thread alive. Those who think they only ever ask for help and aren't contributing don't realise that actually other people are glad of having someone to help and feel more confident in being able to offer support.
whether we are asking for help or offering it we are contributing.

sorry evenstar this turned into a bit of a long preachy rant - it wasn't meant to be and it really is just some of my thoughts and ideas and not specifically aimed at you. its just your post that sparked my thought process off
