  • Well lovely people, I'm going to call it quits, early start and I'll only regret it if I stay up much longer.

Night night sleep tight, thank you for the giggles as always Jo! Dilli hope you're feeling better soon hun, and that you get some zzzz's. Saucy, hope you're not hiding Fabregas under the bed again!

Yeah Jo, I do have meditation CD's but, they seem to make me more alert... If done correctly meditiation of about 20 mins is about the same as sleeping for an hour. But, I think the lying on the floor and kicking my legs thing could be a plan lol.
I might just put on some chillout music and hopefully I will pass out. Yeah, that and some Horlicks ought to do the trick. (Am I the only one who finds the name Horlicks unintentionally rude and funny????)
Glad that things are going well at the cafe too Jo!

    Horlicks to you too Dilli!!!
One of my meditation cds is a 45 minute one and you are supposed to try and stay awake they even suggest splashing your face with cold water first. but it is sooooo difficult to stay awake.
Its part of a well established mindfulness base stress reduction course that has been running for about 15- 20 years now in the states for people suffering from stress particularly around long term pain or illness. its got a lot of research around it. any way don't know why I'm waffling on but it is so relaxing and if you do manage to stay awake you do feel refreshed.
Got it for my friends mum when she was undergoing chemo and kept a copy for me. prob is I usually end up with a child bouncing on me when I try to find time to do it.

PHEW !!! Caught up with you all again. I hate it when I get so far behind, I want to join in the conversations, but they are 2 days ago and you've all moved on!

I've had a really busy few days with leaving do's (not for me) at work and running and shopping and visiting people and more shopping!

It's been a tearful one too as Thomas the foster cat went back to the RSPCA to go up for adoption on Thursday. My house seems so empty without him and every time I come home I get choked up as he always sat on the windowsill watching for me. Gulp! Anyway, to try and overcome this I went to visit him today. He was soooooo pleased to see me and the girl looking after him told me it was the first time he hadn't growled and hissed when someone approached him. So it was good and bad as I now feel even more guilty about him being there. But she said I could do the home visits when they find a new family for him and they wouldn't place him unless I was happy, which made me feel better. And I'm going to try and go again tomorrow (today) to make him chill out a bit.

Anyway, time is ticking away and I have an hour less sleep so I'd better get off. Hope to keep up with you all a bit better tomorrow (again, today!!). Night all xx

    PS
SAUCY - could I have a link to your blog please hon?

Oh Joey it must be such a wrench, I really feel for you ~ my kitties and I are desperately trying to raise enough pennies to get out of here as my neighbour went as far as to report me to the local council as a noise nuisance because of the 'herd of reindeer' aka my feline girls running around in the middle of the night/early hours of the morning. I've taken drastic steps to make sure it hasn't gone any further, or there is a possibility they would make me get rid of them, and I won't. Thomas will be fine once he settles I'm sure, don't feel guilty you've given him a second chance!
