Oh, I have missed so much. Not really been up to much, just haven't really had the energy. Have 3 German students staying at the moment so not much time. I don't think I will ever catch up. The challenge is still on my mind though and I hope I will get back into the swing of things soon.

I'd never heard it before - i've just had a listen, it's beautiful, thanks for sharing it, it's made me cry I love discovering new music but rarely take the time to really listen to music these days. The only times i tend to put music on are when i'm either really hyper and happy or really low and depressed - i'm either jumping madly around or crying in a heap.

Aww I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention! I used to visit an old man and his wife when I was struggling at home, they were like parents to me in my younger years, and she'd sing that to me to get me to sleep. I've loved it since...It's a great song, but it is a bit song. And not at all wedding-y.
I only play music if OH is gone, and I need company. It helps a little...I'm a really lonely person, I hate being on my own. Alone time? Pah, I'd rather have him driving me mad then be on my own for a second.

Edit: It was released in 1976!! Wow. I have vintage music tastes, lol. That's 14 years before I was born!

Don't apologise - i cried at each song i chose for my list! - that's really lovely that she sang you to sleep, what a special memory I can see why you love it.
I don't like alone time much either, i give myself a hard time and feel like i should be achieving stuff all the time. I end up with a headache.

Maybe you should see if Paula could make you a fabregas sulkie to keep you company when OH's not around

I love Joan - she's a woman who knows the value of a Latin American toyboy (hubby is part-Peruvian), and my role model for growing old disgracefully

I think her son's real name is Alexander, and Sasha is the Russian nickname derived from Alexander, so that probably explains that.

The interview was good, certainly showed who she really is and how strong she is. And that explains the Sasha thing!

Well I'm just a grump this evening, just got back from ferrying my DD and her friend as they missed their connecting bus blah blah. Nice to see that the mother of DD's friend is getting nicely sozzled on a bottle of wine while I give up my Saturday night to make sure the girls aren't wandering around at stupid o'clock in the dark waiting for/catching buses.
