Well the more the merrier - if it can be made to work for us then go for it! I think it'll need to be sufficiently different from my Dribblers site though, so we don't repeat ourselves too much. Mine is aimed at being a fairly simple site, listing all Dribblers sites, the story of how we all came together ... so we can all be found in one place and the links are there for further information.

Your site sounds excellent, its just what we need.

Love cagne's idea too, don't know how good I am at selling though!

Paula's idea is excellent, only a little overlap with this site - more about moneymaking than moneysaving.

Still think my little idea might be a useful way to publicise our interests too, in a way it all goes together - the more places we are online then the more traffic we will attract.

Munchki, I have a big dry cellar which you are welcome to store boxes in if you need to. Not sure I'd be able to fit a kingsize bed in though :p

One of the places in the village could be the mutual business support centre.

Don't be daft!! It's a cellar - I don't use it for anything other than keeping my bike in. It isn't as if it would put me to any inconvenience at all!

It might be an idea to wrap the boxes well, as there are probably mice down there as it is accessed from outside rather than in the house. I'd hate you to get the boxes back and find a family of mice living in each one

Truly your idea could possibly be an area within the village that you access and can read articles. blogs etc on diffferent moneymaking topics and ideas and there could be a forum in the discussion forums to talk about it too.
Not that I am saying it can't be stand alone. just thinking aloud.

    Hey everyone :)

I think the ideas about a village are really good but heres a thought for right now. Shoot me down if I havent thought it through properly, but.........
how about everyone with a website/ebay link/blog/anything else PM me their links with a brief description of what the link is and what they are selling.

I will then put it all together in one email and then PM everyone back with the full list.

This way, we are keeping with the MSE rules about promoting your own sales, and everyone who wants to be involved can see who sells what.

Hope this makes sense, it does in my head!!

That would really help me actually, as then I wouldn't have to deal with dozens of PMs ... kind of you to volunteer instead, Rachel!

ooh forgot to say DH went for PhD interview today and they are really excited about his proposal and offered him a place. but we can't do it without getting full funding including an amount as living expenses. so that will be the difficult part to get sorted. but thats one big step on the way completed.
