we have a tesco 5 min walk away , got asda in town about a mile away and got a lidl in town , so we use those 3 mostly , does anyone know if asda are still doing price match , a few years ago if you went in asda with a promo leaflet of another supermarket , and you got the same item they would price match it , no i didnt give her the coupons back i still have them here , however im going to tescos again later and going to try again
Asda used to have what they called 'Ad Match' where they would match the price on special offers but would take the leaflet and keep it. It was great as I often went in with Morrisons/Safeway leaflets - saved me a 26 mile round trip!
I asked their Head Office about this about 6 months ago and they said they had stopped doing it - shame!ELITE 5:2

I have at last just received this reply back from Tesco after querying the non acceptance of the Lidl coupon.
"Dear
,
Thank you for your patience.
I am very sorry that you were unable to use your Lidl conditional spend coupon when you visited our store recently. I can understand how disappointed you must be, especially as you were informed previously that we do accept Lidl coupons.
We understand that our decision to refuse this particular coupon has caused unhappiness with our customers. So, taking this into consideration, we are currently reviewing our policy regarding conditional spend coupon acceptance and we will communicate any decisions to our stores as soon as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us and please accept my apologies for the disappointment and confusion that we have caused you.
Kind Regards
"
I don't like the sound of "reviewing their conditional spend coupon policy", do you think this will be the end of all conditional spends?:(0 -
To me that actually reads that they realise they may have made a mistake in refusing spend and save mocs and are rethinking the decision to refuse them.
A lot of folk have mentioned stores being quieter, especially since Farmfoods were stopped in stores that previously took them, then they stopped Lidl mocs.. perhaps they have noticed they are losing business? So your answer don’t be scared of failure
For the only failure is never to try
