Went to M's this lunchtime for some Andrex - and picked up 2 packs of 6 for the price of 4 Velvet Quilted for £2.29 - used 2 x 50p coupon which made it cheaper than the Andrex at just under 30p a roll. Also picked up 2 packs of Plenty (patterened on offer at £1) and used 50p coupon for these too :D
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

I emailed Sir Terry last week when my Lidl coupon was rejected and the reply came back that it should have been accepted. However when I returned to Tesco the following morning I was informed that Tesco head office had emailed each store and told them not to accept the Lidl coupon.

I sent another email to Sir Terry and am still waiting a response, the only reply I got was that it was being looked into.

Will let everyone knw the full reply when I get it.

    CWxx

Thanks. I rang cust services and the woman I got was totally unapologetic about it and said you need to ask at customer services before you use them. I went on about how I'd spent more to use the coupon and bought a paper I wouldn't have but no joy and not even an apology. I even tried the 'but you've told me you accept Lidl before' tack, no joy. Will wait with interest to see if you get any joy and maybe try again.

Don't shoot me down but I think that the continuous e-mails and phone calls to Tesco about non acceptance of other companies conditional spend coupons is not going to help.

This is not a right but a concession by them to get you into the store to spend more money. I can understand the frustration when individual stores won't take them but once they make a national ruling to refuse a particular coupon, I think everyone just has to accept it.

As with mocs that we used to spend as cash, good while it lasted but no reason that it should be for ever.

I think that you will shortly find that Tesco will stop taking any conditional spend coupons, other than their own, if there are too many complaints.

    Any comments from anyone?

Actually I agree with you, if the decision had been made by Tesco I really dont think any amount of complaining is going to help at all as we all know from previous experience, that when Tesco make a change to their policy they stick to their guns as the saying goes.

I realise it is annoying when we have a bad shopping experience but think we have to just be grateful for the times when we have a successful shop. I also think that drawing their attention to couponning should be avoided as much as possible as Im sure this probably contributed to Black Friday.

Agree with above posts...think we have to take it on the chin peeps.I think the Lidl was too much for them to take...1 a day for 4 days...like the f/Foods they must have been flooded with them. They didn't mind them every so often , but day after day....straws that broke the camels back !!I think the every so often ones, will prob still be OK..time will tell.

Blimey look at the time and I'm still up...I thought there was only one 11 'o' clock in a day,and that's when I have my elevenses !!!I'll be up late tomorrow night though...I love election nights.Have never seen the New Year in for around 30 years , except once in Portugal)but have always stayed up for election results...

    I agree.

I've heard some tripe in store about moc use over time and have had occasionally stood my ground in there, [especially if I have had too much hassle] but on the whole have just been grateful for what I could get - and this in a store that never did follow national moc policy. Me making a big fuss wouldn't change that cos in the end all stores COULD do what they wanted, no matter what anyone said.

I've never once called Tesco CS or e-mailed Sir T. All that would have got me was more aggro in store and as I only have 1 Tesco near me, that would not be a good idea.

Be glad for any of any bonus you get and don't act like its your right - cos actually, its not!
