Rang twice for the offer 1st time a no go, hung up and tried again spoke to an extremely helpful operator gave him the spiel about receiving an answer machine message from Sky re. the "Offer" and he went off and looked @ my account, he put through the offer without a hitch. Booked in for an appointment @ the end of next week.:j

Thanks OP and all the successful feedbacks who reported their success stories, so to all the non-successful callers I would highly recommend hanging up and just trying again.:T

i dont know whether to keep trying or give up.

1st time bloke asked wen i was offered the deal and said that he would look it up. i said last tuesday. he then says nothing on my account and says that unfortunatley if u miss the call thats it really. its hard luck!

next bloke i spoke to, as soon as i explained the offer he took my details to look at my account and then hung up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so do i try again or not?????? wud really like the deal.

also does it matter that im still in contract with them with my sky+ for another 6 months?

was too excited to say this earlier but basically i went for it and called a 3rd time and hey presto got it coming on sat to be installed. lovely bloke called dan who didnt even question it.

and for those who are getting people from sales telling them that they cant authorise the deals and you need to be in to receive the calls, u cud say
'well to be honest if that were the case then why did they leave a message telling me about the deal. is that not rubbing salt in the wound.'

May make some of them feel a lil guilty and push the deal along.

many thanks op and to everyone on here with the great advice. Im sooooo chuffed!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

    I've been Money Tipped!
I am confused, if you can cancel after 12 months, can you still receive sky+ etc., or do you have to get another box.

at last after speaking to someone last wk and offering free hd+ box and installatioon and 6 months free subs i said id think about it and asked for her to call back. which they did twice and i missed it both times!

called back twice then both said i have to wait for the call, called again today got through to a nice bloke in cardiff call centre and told him ive been offered free hd+ box free installation and free subs for 12 months.
put me hold to authorise and then come back we and said we can do that for you.

    coming 4/4/10 sorted!

Just called - first call - would not budge, gave the spill that I had been phoned a few days earlier but I could not take call as I was driving, he said I should wait for them to call back - obviously they never called in the first place. What is the chances of getting through to the same person if I keep ringing? Will it be on my record that I keep ringing?
I am only trying to help

I doubt you would get the same person, and even if you did they might not remember as they take alot of calls. Just keep trying. I got it the second time xx

go through to cancellations as last resort.

can anyone clarify, is this a 12 month contract with 12 months after to pay, or cancellable after 12 months?

Is it portable if you move? i.e. no cancellation charge if youremain a customer
