rang them 3 times with no luck, at the end i asked them to put me through to the cancellation dept. i spoke to a guy who said he'll offer it to me for £100 with £10 per month on top for hd channels, but then when i told him i want to leave as the offer wasnt good for me, he offered £60 for hd+ box with only the free hd channels.
i took the offer as i was about to pay £60 for only the sky+ box last month.
not as good deal as yours but im happy with it.

Ive just called Sky this evening to try and get the same offer:
Free HD box
Free Installation
Free 12 months HD channels
Ive been with sky for 6 years and never been offered a thing, despite me trying.
Got knocked back twice this evening - told offer ended last weekend etc.
Tried a third time, spoke to customer services and mentioned the offer - was asked no further questions and just had it accepted...result!
Installer coming on 1st April0 -
Hi guys - hope everyone's good.
Here's the situation, myself and two friends have just moved in to a new place together. They used to share a place and had the full Sky deal without movies but with phone and broadband for the last 3 years. They were still using the old basic Sky box so we decided that the 3 of us would get their Sky account moved to the new property and upgrade to HD. This was booked a week ago and they are coming to install on the 3rd. We'll be paying full HD subscription and have to pay £60 installation.
We want to ring up and try and get this offer and figure we have two choices:
1) Say that we are aware of the offer and do the whole, long term existing customer, its unfair etc spiel, to try and get it that way.
or
2) Do the 'We have had a message about some deal' thing in the hopes that whichever company is ringing round to offer the deals maybe wouldn't be aware of our existing order to upgrade.
What do people think? Cheers for any advice.0 -

I tried the first option, (didn't have the courage to try the second one) got no joy at all, customer advisor said it was a random choice of customers, nothing to do with them. I went on for ages complaining about the unfairness of loyalty, been with sky for over 10 years, full package etc - he still wouldn't budge. Asked to be put through to cancellations, they gave me same spiel about random customers. I must admit I don't think I did myself any favours after this, went into a rant about disgusting customer service etc. He offered me new box for £25 but still £10 a month subs. Declined offer as just can't afford that at the moment. Really annoyed at Sky at the moment, sent a nasty email to customer services - probably on black list now and won't get anything in future LOL:rotfl:.
If I were you, I would try second option, it seems lots of people have been getting it that way! Good luck and well done to all of you who have been lucky!0 -
Hi all after trying three times and being fobbed off each time, i tried a different approach told them i had been rung yesterday and my dad had taken the call but was unable to accept the offer as he didnt know the password for the account, but that he had written the number down that had phoned - the telephone number was 02920 199900 (I took the number of a previous thread on here) i said i tried to ring it back but it was a Sky message box (ring the number and you will know what i mean) which asked me to leave my details which i did, i then rang the main sky HD number and spoke to a lovely man who said that he was unable to authorise it but gave me the phone number for the department that could, telephone No 08442 411276, i spoke to a lovely young lady called Nicky told her my story of missed call and how the other dept had given me this number to ring and get it authorised and i had it all done and dusted within 5 minutes. Hth someone. :j:j:jVery proud to be Strip club member No 430

Managed it with my first option in the end. Took a good few phone calls and the whole threatening to cancel thing but the guy in cancellations was extremely helpful and has credited our account for the installation and 6 months subscription.0

Have you already sorted the move? If not it may be worth trying to get something cheaper or a deal for just you as an account holder and as a new customer?Life - never quite what you expected.0 -
3rd time lucky for me too although went through to cancellations. Did'nt threaten to cancel but told them the story missed calls, rang wife etc. Was told they could'nt do anything, I could only get the offer if rang back. So I asked how long I was into contract I had as I had a freesat TV which I could get the standard HD channels on for the world cup. With that she said could I hang on a minute while she spoke to her supervisor. Job done Free HD+ box , Free install, Free HD subs for 12months, coming to install next week.
Thanks OP and all those who have posted. Do'nt give up those who have not got the offer thus far !0 -
If a Sky customer with their line rental and free evening calls, can you ring Sky for free during the day or just at night as I want to try and get this deal of Free Hd box etc0

Thankyou so much for this post I called 08442 411276 and told them I had a message left on my aphone and gave them all the details. The lady was really helpful but after a little while she asked me if it was possible she could call me back as she couldn't find the right code to enter for this offer.
True to her word she rang back in five minutes and asked me again if there was any code, when I said no she said she wasn't able to enter the offer without a code but gave me a new number and said they could definately process the offer for me.
It was only afterwards I realised she gave me exactly the same number I have previously called and spoke to her 08442 411276. LOL!
Anyway called this number again and spoke to a guy and after 18 minutes on the phone it was all processed and done, he didn't once question anything was just a bit slow entering the details and several times put me on hold.
Really pleased, they did try to push multi room on me a few times but we dont have a TV in our bedroom at present but are planning to in the next few months after it is decorated. I was told I would need to pay a further £60 for installation when I do get the multi room.Competition wins - 09/03 - £500 ELC Vouchers 11/04 - Lush Goodies 21/04 - Gillette Fusion Gift Pack 22/05 - Mirrors DVD 29/05 - Return Flights to London & £500 29/05 - £50 Homebase Gift Vouchers 20/09 - Remote Control Helicopter 28/09 - £225 Bingo Win 05/10 £25 Photobox Vouchers 16/09 £90 Cash 30/11 £29 Cash 03/01 £20 03/04 Fifa Football :T0
