radarjet, I'm in Norfolk. I only do the "basic" matched betting though - none of the really clever stuff that the boys on the GIOL board do.....but its enough to make a few ££ here and there!

Happy Good Friday everyone **hands virtual hot cross buns around**

The children are off to their Dad's later this morning, so once they have gone I will formulate my plan. I would like the spare room done by the time they come home on Monday, so I think it will be a case of:

today - clear and prep the room, strip wallpaper, take down curtain rail and shelving, fill picture hook holes etc.

tomorrow - paint ceiling and coving

Sunday - paint walls - hopefully just one coat, but two if needed.

Monday - gloss paintwork, and put things back together again

That gives me plenty of time in between to do other things like drink coffee....

Off to scratch and bank now - have a good day x

    Good morning Hypno,

Scratchies done, including one 50p, so better than it has been most of the time :)

We fly back on the 30th, so will weigh in probably on the 2nd, so a month to go before I weigh in. Daily stomach exercises seem to be working, I only do 5 to 10 mins, but I have stuck to it, and it does seem to be working at long last :) It's the other exercise sessions I have trouble sticking with.

You've lost so much weight Hypno, have you had another wardrobe session to see what looks good and fits again?

Hope you have a good Easter Hypno, and manage to get through your 'to do' list.

Have a good day everyone :)

Well done on continuing the stomach exercises and seeing the results :T I've tried on a couple of things, but still have some way to go. Remember, I threw/gave away lots of things at Christmas time as part of my decluttering exercise so I have only kept relatively few things. Generally those things are a size 12 and I am still (in parts) a 14 so whilst the weight is coming off, I still have another dress size to lose.

I don't want to try things too often, because if I do, and they are still too tight, I will get despondent and give up.

I would quite like to get rid of the lot, and start with a whole new wardrobe of clothes when the time comes, but I am not sure if I am that brave. The very-MSE part of me just can't seem to do it, but as part of my "re-discovery" process I reckon it could be quite a positive thing!

    Good Morning :hello:

I like the sound of the Easter project Hypno :T I'm going to get out into the garden if I can - it's ripe for a Spring clean!

Did you lose yesterday? I missed that. I have maintained this week I think, but can't complain as I've been away with work, so didn't exercise.

Have a great day to you and everyone reading :)

No loss this week - it was 1/2 lb on, but I'm ok with that. I did have a bad food day yesterday but should be able to recover from that if I am sensible, although am off to Cafe Rouge on Sunday, so trying to incorporate that into my points for the week as well.

However, on the basis that I am being more healthy for the majority of the time, if I don't lose weight for a week or so, in the bigger scheme of things I'm not going to beat myself up over it (which is a very different attitude from years gone by when I would just have given up and gone back to bad habits!).

We are forecast rain so doing garden stuff is off the list for a few days - if it improves over the course of the week, then I will be happy enough to get out there and tidy up.

For those of you who remember my big conservatory clearing project this time last year, I am pleased to report that it is still clear and tidy.....flylady really HAS made a difference to me (not perfect, but I have far more usable space than I did before!).....so I look forward to getting the use out of the conservatory again over the next few months :D

With my big weight loss I got rid of the clothes on the way down, I was determined not to go back into those sizes again. It's worked for the last few years at the weight I plateaued at, as if they start getting tight it's an early warning system, and back on the 'straight and narrow' for a while.

Not so sure this time though, not sure how easy it will be to keep to the lower weight. Also I'm fairly tall, so the blubber is spread over a taller frame, so won't affect dress sizes so much, so most coats, blouses, dresses will still fit, it's more the jeans and trousers where it will mean size changes.

I'm fairly short, at 5 ft 4, so every half stone has a big impact - up or down!

I may, as part of my weekend to myself, have another "cull" of my wardrobe, and get shot of anything that I just don't fancy holding onto. This is as much about looking to the future, as it is about weight loss/moneysaving, I think, so I have to consider it differently to the way I would have looked at it, say, a year ago.

I have made my "capsule wardrobe" shopping list - which I will work on over the next few months, so as long as I don't deviate from that, and I am sensible about the amount I spend on new things, perhaps the time has come to clear out some more of the older things.

We have a charity bag being collected on Tuesday - so it wouldn't go to waste.

Morning Hypno...I think clearing out the wardrobe is very theraputic and why shouldn't you have a new start, new you, new weight = new clothes.

Your decorating plan sounds good...I have bought wallpaper but thats as far as it goes, Oh and Ive listed in the small ad's the computer workstation cluttering the bedroon and preventing me from doing anything atm. Hoping to get £90 for that which will pay for decorating :)
