Well, I do still have a reasonable amount of basic stuff in the cupboards, eg rice, pasta, couscous, and several sorts of meat in the freezer, eg mince, chicken thighs, diced beef

I am saving the tinned brussels for a special centerpiece dish at my debt free party......

Budget day today, when we find the results of George Osborne's own snowball calculator and back of envelope sums.....we all know that to get out of debt involves some painful cuts, so I suppose we have to embrace them.....I will be watching with interest at work.

Off to bank and scratch - have a good day x

Well, ok, maybe not embrace them as such, but understand that unless we do something drastic, we won't get out of the mess we are currently in!

So......payday came a day early, and the envelope filling has started. I can only do a few of them, because my next "income" is not due in until 1st July when my maintenance is paid....but I have made a start.

I am determined to get this right this month. We are approaching the second half of the year already and I need to know that I am not going to head into another calender year without some sort of control and certainty over my life!

Good news on pay day early..lol

There is no two ways about it the government has to save loads of money and it has to be tough...they have to cut the actual debt or else the interest is going to cripple us....it will be painful.

Yup, whoever got into power would have to do the same thing in order to stop us from self destructing, so it isn't really even a "political" thing to a certain extent, IYSWIM!

I am working on the basis that I can get through cuts on a personal level to get myself on a financial even keel, so I can do it again as part of the National programme if needed.

**wonders if George Osborne has started a debt free diary yet**

    Imagine the SOA! :rotfl:

Not looking forwards to the budget but it'll be good to finally know which cuts need to be made and how they'll effect everyone. :( Not long to go now...
