Never mind the marathon, I've figured out what you should do...and Eddie Izzard and run to where each of us lives in order to meet us. That way, you get all the running, and a bit more of a creative route. I'm in Manchester, and a few of the others seems to be in Scotland, so if you start at home and make your first stop Pania's for a night's rest there, who is next? (You can stay a night with us all and have some dinner, too. ;))

Life sucks again at the moment - a young lad who i have known since he was 6 and who is my nephews best friend hung himself on Wednesday night - whole community is in total state of shock

Surfbabe, how awful, I'm not surprised the whole place is in shock. And as Hypno says, enjoy the break too, there's nothing to be done about timing like that - you must be proud of your DS too :j

Surfbabe that is awful about that lad. I do hope you enjoy your break away though - you certainly deserve it!

I did my 90 mins on the treadmill - so now feel perfectly entitled to slob on the sofa - I think I have offset one of the donuts at least!

 you did 90 minutes???? Oh good grief.... You're scaring me, Hypno :rotfl:

EDIT - oh, I'm the first one on this morning - there was pages to go, and I thought, there'll be pages more by the time I get there, I'll do a page at a time - I see I've missed loads of Edinburgh -related goss .... sounds great!

Morning - the children are with their Dad this weekend, so I didn't have to set the alarm for paper rounds which meant that the night nurse could do its thing and I didn't have to have that groggy head feeling by getting up before I was ready, for once!

So, my cold is at that lovely attractive stage where I have a really phlegmmy cough, and my nose and mouth are all peely. Nice!! I think, therefore, that I will head to Tesco for my grocery shop at some stage, and apart from doing a bit of housework, will do nothing today.

    Pickle, nice idea......but NO!

Well, hurray to being able to sleep in, but a decided "boo" to the cold - you certainly sound like you need a quiet day, Hypno, hope you can find something nice to watch on tv/dvd.

I have a bit of housework to do as I've not done much this week, but if I can get my act together to do that now, then do battle with the supermarket, I should be able to relax for the evening with a book or something. Certainly won't be doing anything any more exciting than that!
