Thank you cherisong - that was lovely x
So.....another Monday morning is upon us, and I struggled to get out of bed when the alarm went off, so I hope I wake up and have a fully functioning brain soon, otherwise it will be a tough day!
Hope you all have a good day, and that your Mondays are Marvellous.....xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Happy Monday, what a weekend of ups and downs you have all had and some lovely sayings.
Been busy since friday morning. The course was really good as we had a different tutor, and lunch was provided :money:.
And we have a new member of our family - Dave - he's 12 weeks old, his mum was a rottweiler/chinese wrinkly dog cross and his Dad a dalmation/cross something. He was thin and desperate for a new home. I think he will look like a dalmation shape in rotty colours when he's fully grown. He's very cuddly.
Really need to wake up!0 -
Morning pippa - your dog sounds as though he will be a character!!
I am glad to say that by the time I reached my desk I had woken up somewhat.....so hopefully will get through my day ok! I just hate starting the week on the back foot, because it makes it so much harder to get the momentum going for the rest of the week!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. :hello: Morning! I thought I was awake, but it turns out I'm not
Actually, my belief that I was actually awake was a bit misguided - I have spent the morning yawning my head off and struggling to even add numbers up - not good
Verbatim - I am hoping for the end of this week.......no idea on figures though, so can't do any planning/repayments yet.
And of course, it is a discretionary bonus, so they might decide I am not worthy of one this year........:eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Pops up from lurkdom to say WELL SAID
A friend sent me this recently when I felt exactly like you do. Hope it helps (I cried my eyes out:rotfl:)
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that
Person..
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need
You have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with
Guidance and support,
To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an
End.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire
Fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has
Come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
Foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other
Relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life,
Whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
I like this one and have been sent it before. One thought that I had today is, when you recognice that you've been one of these things to someone else...DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hey lady, at Mum and Dads and had mate over for a few days before that so just caught up! Carp about the teaching and can I just add to all the nice words that NONE of us know where our life is going, all we can do is keep going and enjoy it as much as we can while we have our health. Seeing friends is good for the soul though so deffo keep making plans to do that (frugally, of course). Great news on the Xmas getaway too.
Have had a lovely week off and caught up with some mates too which was great fun as always. Got SATC 2 booked for the end of the month as well and am wildly excited about that (in case you're wondering I'm a Samantha!). Oh and just had a call from the hospital about Mum's op and can't wiat to break the good news to her that she'll be seen soon. (She's hobbled off to a funeral just now). Right need to go and hang her washing out before she gets back but take care lady and XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

:j Me too! I'm not Samantha though, more's the pity!
Sorry to read about your teaching fiasco on Saturday Hypno, I hope that you get a chance to get on to the relevent people today and give them what for!
Within the spirit of lovely, inspirational words, I particularly like this one which sums up the fantastic help and support found here on the MSE Forums:
"This guy's walking down the street when he falls in a hole. The walls are so steep he can't get out.
"A doctor passes by and the guy shouts up, 'Hey you. Can you help me out?' The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole and moves on.
"Then a priest comes along and the guy shouts up, 'Father, I'm down in this hole can you help me out?' The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole and moves on...
"Then a friend walks by, 'Hey, Joe, it's me can you help me out?' And the friend jumps in the hole. Our guy says, 'Are you stupid? Now we're both down here.' The friend says, 'Yeah, but I've been down here before and I know the way out.'"Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

Evening all - the sun has continued to shine, so hopefully spring is back on the agenda!
Leftover veg curry for dinner, so very MSE - nothing else to report - am clinging on waiting til payday on Friday!
Hope you are all well - and souk, you are right, none of us really know where we are going........mind you, I wouldn't mind having an idea of which direction I am sort of heading!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
